Hey guys,

I´m looking for a compatible (non-whitelisted) WIFI module with the supported BCM94352 chipset for my Ideapad 710s-13ISK (Skylake).

Any ideas which card I could use? I find a lot of cards which are said to be compatible with different Lenovo laptops but mine was nowhere mentioned.

Thanks for your help

Look for a Lenovo branded BCM943252Z.
And it may not even be significant... you may be able to use any BCM943252Z regardless of branding.

Hi rehabman,

you got two different type numbers... Which one is it? :) I thought it was the BCM94352Z

Typo fixed.
You should really read the FAQ.

Thanks a lot!

Actually I read parts of the FAQ. The thing is that I still would be able to return the notebook beforce dumping 30$ on the wrong wifi module so that's why I was so over cautious.

If the WiFi module turns out to not work, you can always sell it on ebay.

Yeah, sure, but I'm leaving for a long term travel in January and was considering getting one from aliexpress. I now bought a used on in Germany which I should be able to return. Lenovo Yoga 2 and Ideapad Y50 are on the list of compatible notebooks which got my hopes high ;)

Almost all notebooks will need WiFI replaced with compatible hardware.

It just got interesting, maybe I was excited too early:

This is what the original card looks like in a teardown: https://i1.wp.com/laptopmedia.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/IMG_20170118_181756.jpg

The one I bought has a notch less: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/~u8AAOSwh1paBdk0/s-l1600.jpg

I already saw guys cutting the cards. But it seems so odd that all Lenovo-Cards I can find only have one notch..

Whether you need to cut a notch depends on the slot itself, not the original card.
