Yes. I have connected directly to the Sony TV with the Speakers on. Same results.

There are no settings for HDMI version/other on the TV, nor the Stereo.

Try with a different device, such as an HDMI computer monitor.

Is your problem fixed? I have a similar issue with my laptop.

Not really mate, at first is all good, but after some period it starts with the glitches again, the freezing for now is gone tho, haven't faces any in a while.

I think the problem is the config.plist and the processor which use HD 3000 graphics , after all it's an old one.
As far as I noticed, it starts with the glitches after some period when the processor gain some heat, I'm planing to change the Thermal Paste to see the results.
If not, well, we screw up with the config.plist in that case.

Audio: If your laptop has codec CX20724, there are two possible layout-id values supported. The default is 7, but you can change it to 5 if 7 doesn't work. You will find the layout-id setting in your model specific SSDT.

I've Conexant 0x14f150f4 (CX20724) and I've some audio issue.
.headphone jack doesn't work
.hardware MUTE key doesn't work
.in Audio pref panel, MUTE is greyed
.mismatch between Hardware volume key and Menu Bar Control Volume

I tried to modify ID from 7 to 5 in SSDT-8x0-G3-Skylake.dsl, but in INCLUDE directory there isn't ID 5 layout.
build result:
"Could not open include file hotpatch/include/layout5_HDEF.asl
hotpatch/SSDT-8x0-G3-Skylake.dsl(11) : error 6036 - Could not open include file (Preprocessor)"
How other can I modify layout from 7 to 5?

You simply change layout-id in the layout7 file from 5 to 7.

Everything works except for software update to 10.13.1.

Let me know if there's something I am missing.

I did a clean install a few months ago.

When I update, it downloads everything but does not install the updates.
I keep seeing that screen telling to update to 10.13.1.

My laptop still have problems with closing the lid. The laptop doesn't go to sleep, when I close it, even worse, it doesn't respond at all when I open the lid several minutes later and powering it down the hard way (holding the power button) is the only way. That happens with both 1.17 and the new 1.19 BIOS versions. The attached zip includes the stock ACPI tables from the latest version 1.19.
Using the Sleep button, the auto-sleep and waking it up when I open the lid (after I've put it to sleep, using the sleep button/auto-sleep and then closed the lid) seems to work fine.

You need to boot the installer after the restart.
Pay close attention to the options available in Clover.
