hey Sniki,

i did follow ur link from bios-mod page and made a dump as there explained but somehow after flashing the eeprom.
i t440 did not start again, first it made some nosiness but after that nothing happens.
did u use the black pcb spi reader and do i need a exteral power.

Of course you need another pc/laptop to do so.

Send the dump to bios mods forum and ask someone to remove whitelist for you.
Someone will respond and send you the link with your modified bios.
You download the modified bios and then:
First of all you erase the eeprom(bios chip)
Then you write the modified bios to the eeprom (bios chip).
Re-assemble the laptop and you should be able to boot just fine.

Hi Sniki, thank you for this T440p guide on high sierra, thanks also to RehabMan and all the tonymacx86 community for the tremendous work released.

I am still trying to boot into the installer with my t440p but I am stuck after the loading bar reaches 70%

The boot hangs for a while at the lines on pic IMG_0692

The last lines I see are on the picture IMG_0696 then it stays on a screen with only one line:

macbook-Pro.local com.apple.xpc.launchd[1] (com.apple.windowserver) <Notice>: Service only ran for 0 seconds. Pushing respawn out by 10 seconds.

Here attached my ACPI, Drivers64UEFI and kexts folders in clover partition and my config.plist

Could you help me resolving this issue?

Try this and see if you can reach Desktop.

After that Include Full "Problem Reporting" as always requested.

I did find that a user previously requested help for T540P and took his ACPI Files and patched from it.
So i created files for you to test and see if things are working.

After you install and able to use laptop, i will tell you how to capture Active USB Ports so i can fix USB Ports.
Use Everything like on the guide but don't use SSDT-T440P.aml and config.plist on the guide, instead use these files that i attached (config.plist and other SSDTs.aml that i attached here)

I just added the config.plist with the Spoof SSDT built-in on config.plist /Devices/AddProperties.

Attach Problem Reporting files now since you reached desktop so i can add the Patch to disable Discrete GPU and add that on the guide.

Is everything working ok now ?

Hey, I'm using t540p too. Everything working now after I wasted like 40 hours trying by my own. However with ur tutorial I got it working now... just the USB ports aren't working at all as you have already predicted. How can I fix them?

Open IOregistryExplorer and leave it open.
Take a USB3 Device (flash drive,external harddrive or whatever) and plug it on each port 1 by 1 (make sure u keep it plugged for 5 sec on each,
After you finnish take a usb2 device (mouse/usb2.0 flash drive or whatever and do the same.
After you finnish save and upload the copy of ioreg, i can then fix usb ports for u.

Yes.
Just make sure to install the kexts listed on the guide and you will have QE/CI too.
