AppleHDA Realtek Audio [Guide]

Thanks for the information. Then I know it won't make any difference even I try other two methods. In fact I did test the CloverALC and it really can't help!

Hi,

Thanks for this guide, I was able to make my sound working. I have the Asus Z170i Pro Gaming motherboard. I followed this IX. Unsupported/Non-working AppleHDA Realtek Audio because I have a 100 chipset.
My audio is working fine with the Internal Speaks (Built-in) only and have a static sound after some time of inactivity in the system.

I also have the Digital Out -Optical but it is not working, nor my HDMI audio. Any guide on how to make the Optical working or better the HDMI audio of my RX460 GPU?

Prior to attempting this process I had no audio at all (no output options showed up in Sound system preferences), but YouTube video would play -- obviously with no sound, as well as QuickTime .mov/.mp4 video files.

Weirdly, after running this process:
- Copy latest AppleALC.kext into EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other
- Ensure Lilu.kext is was also in EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other
- Execute audio_cloverALC-130_v0.3.command in Terminal

I now DO have options in Sound system preferences and I even have Volume Control via the keyboard.

BUT now YouTube no longer plays, and same issue with QuickTime .mov/.mp4 files and .mp3 — none of them play either.

By that I mean if you hit Play nothing happens. No progress. You can scrub back and forth, but the files never begin to Play back.

Here are my config.plist audio-related screens that changed after running the script.

Any thoughts about this? Could it be a Codec related thing?
