UniBeast: Install macOS High Sierra on Any Supported Intel-based PC

Hi All

I have i7 7700 @ 3.60 Ghz CPU and Asus H270 Pro with 16GB RAM
1. I want to install Mac OS. can I buy a HDD and install it? SSD is mandatory?
2. The existing Windows 10 is in a 1 TB HDD, will I get boot to Windows / Mac OS option in the boot menu if I install Mac OS in the 2nd HDD??

Thanks in advance for your replies

Hi there,

Yes, you can install to an HDD, no problem. Relatively few real Macs have an SSD - I think hackintoshers use the most!

Yes again. You can attach second HDD and choose which to boot from from the Clover boot menu or your PC's BIOS Personally I keep Windows on a second SSD, well away from the Mac one. Some people install on the same drive but I wouldn't.

:)

14. Verify installation options, then click Continue, enter password and click Install

This absolutely refuses to cooperate. I have:
-downloaded High sierra about 5x from the app store successfully
-ran unibeast
-ran unibeast from cmdline with -verbose on
-monitored ALL log from /var/log with tail -f + used Activity monitor
-Unibeast does about 2.8MB of I/O erases the USB drive (SanDisk 16GB) and then refuses to progress, even after 24hrs.

I went through this eventually and came up with some errors

my board ga270k3 / i7 7700k kaby lake cpu

after the multbeast job
changed to imac 18.3
installed hd6** graphics
installed 1220 audio

the boot screen turned grey - the graphics show as 18mb and flicker alot lost the monitor identification
there are no audio devices

could anyone help me resolve?

Can we use a virtual box for this?
All my laptop information like driver and cpu is at my personal thx

what about fusion drive? I use Sierra with 20GB SSD and 500GB HDD.

You'll have to either wait for MultiBeast v10 for High Sierra to be released (soon!) or use the USB installer's EFI folder. But, I recommend using the USB thumb drive to boot your installation as it's easier for the short term.

I'm thinking it might be time for a front page update regarding the status and various roadblocks you are hitting with MultiBeast 10. Searching for these random hints within various threads is not the best use of everyone's time. Thanks for the work.

An olde coaches saying is, "Don't rush to fail!" We'll post MultiBeast v10 *real soon now*. Patience. (Besides, High Sierra is new and buggie...I'm waiting for 10.13.3.)

Updated:
scootcha, MultiBeast v10 for High Sierra has been released!
