Hi guys, I built my first pc two days ago (18/10/2017), and I attempted to turn it into a hackintosh. I have successfully got Sierra (10.12.4) working (10.12.6 untested). I am planning on attempting to update it to High Sierra ASAP to see how this works.

Hardware:
Processor - Intel Core i3-8100
Motherboard - AsRock Z370M Pro 4
Memory - 1x16GB HyperX Fury
GPU - GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
Wifi - TP-Link WDN4800
Bluetooth - GMYLE Bluetooth Dongle

I also have a 4K (dp) and a 1080p (HDMI) display. Multiple Displays ONLY work with the Nvidia Web Drivers installed.

As of yet, I have not noticed any slow downs, long pauses or black artifacts on the screen. HOWEVER, I HAVE NOT tested this pc in Adobe or other high-demanding programs. I have yet to test it and will make an update soon!

I will another post on the install process and performance specs, benchmars .etc ASAP!

lewis.jones2803, From where did you download Sierra? That could be the problem with your slow downs, pauses, etc.

This is great news. If only I could get my hands on a Coffee Lake processor in the UK.
The i5 and i7 overclockable appear to be on back order with most suppliers.
I saw one online shop on Amazon selling the i7K Coffee for £100 more than the RRP, simply because they're extremely rare at the moment.

Wow! First PC build and you've managed to put together a hackintosh running Sierra on the new untested coffee lake. Please do keep us up updated, especially how video editing works. I've still not attempted my first build, though very inspired to do so after seeing this post! I

@lewis.jones2803 Wow! Thats great work. I tried i5 8400 processor with Gigabyte Z370-Hd3P mobo. But failed to install. Every time the install got stuck in the chimaera screen. Would be great if you would you share the EFI settings please.

Great job. Congratulation! As I see your i3 is 4-core... did you already try any 6-core Coffee Lake? Could you provide your EFI? Thank you (with all us) waiting for that EFI :)

@stenwin, @sguzak, please update your profile (personal details) with your Motherboard or Make/Model, CPU and Graphics Card.

Profiles need to contain at least your primary system to assist others with helping you.

Hello Stenwin, i’m Looking to get the same cpu and it would be my first build like you.
My mb would be msi z370 a pro...
For the rest pretty similar specs, maybe a 1060 6gb..

Could you please tell us how you got the machine up and running? Did you use the standard installation guide or did you have to tinker a little bit more for the coffee lake processor? Hope to hear back from you... thanks
