Sierra for HP 6200 Pro i5.

Hi all,
Ive not long completed the SL upgrade to El Cap. How many have completed the upgrade to S or HS? I've gone to update it but its say my machine cant run it?? Anyone had success running it?

Try using sysdef (SMBIOS) of iMac 12,2 Install it with multibeast for El Capitan.

Download and unzip the two attached kexts, install them both to /L/E with the kextbeast app. Reboot and your audio should work normally. The 6200 guide was written specifically for Sierra. I've not tested these audio kexts with El Cap. So no need to install them for El Cap just wait till you have installed Sierra.

In my opinion HS is not stable enough, still buggy and not worth updating to yet. If you want to try Sierra as a direct update that is an option. Here's the link to download it. https://itunes.apple.com/at/app/macos-sierra/id1127487414?mt=12

An opinon i have learnt to trust T, lol. I had thought it might still be very glitchy to try I'll go with Sierra for the time being. When i do the i7 build, with i just be able to pop this SSD into it and off i go?

Not likely as the hardware in that will not match your HP 6200. Find a User Build that utilizes the same board and CPU and do the fine tuning with specific kexts which are needed. The I7 system will need to boot UEFI to work the best. You will be booting sierra legacy on your 6200.

ah i see, best do a fresh build once ive built the new machine up. I noticed that im lacking all the apps like iMovie and iWeb, is this normal?

You can download iMovie for free from the MAS. Don't know what iWeb is.
