Do a fresh install to compare results.
Also, check that everything is still ok with 10.12.6 with current github project.
10.12.5 and 10.12.6 are fine.
10.13 installer has same problem if I let it sit long enough that the display goes to sleep.
I have not been able to get 10.13 installed on a new partition yet, I will keep at it as time permits.

Pending that result, sounds like a new problem in 10.13...

What kind of dock are you using?
Your internal DP is working ok ?

Ive followed the guide, used the 8x0 G1 haswell dsdt patches and config_8x0s_G1_Haswell.plist and I can confirm my laptop doesn't reboot when on dock. On dock USB ports VGA ETHERNET and power all works ok, only DP ports :(

The same dock with you. My DP is work OOB.

Ok I will try to get it done this weekend.

I forgot to mention that I can remote connect from another machine and see the screen just fine so it appears that something is just getting corrupted when waking display.

Rehabman,

Please see attached problem reporting files. I'm running 10.13 now. Computer will not wake from sleep, or at least the display will not wake. This happens when I select Apple---> sleep, or close lid. Looks like backlight lights up but no graphics on screen. Computer also lags typing and occassionally the cursor will freeze for 10 secs.

NOTE: this was a fresh install of 10.13. I have TRIM disabled.

Make sure BIOS setting for DVMT-prealloc is correct (64mb).
config.plist/SMBIOS/Trust should be set true.
Attach ioreg that shows external display connected.

DVMT set to 64mb
no external display being used.
I will correct SMBIOS.

I corrected SMBIOS. No change. Still issues.

I need an ioreg with an external display connected in order to construct potential patches to the framebuffer.

I've had to order a displayport adapter since the damn laptop doesn't have an hdmi out. It will be here monday. Any idea why another user with an almost identical laptop with the same specs except screen size (840 G3 vs 820 G3) would have no issues with 10.13? Should I do another clean install?
