If you can get RX480/580 with good price go for them. Vega still is too buggy.

Yes at the moment all Vega cards have that issue in High Sierra. That's why for now I have switched back to my RX480, which it works just fine.

can someone suggest which brand of vega 64 works oob ? xfx,gigabyte saphire strix? which is the best option here

The Mac Pro guys are using the Sapphire RX 580 Pulse 8GB graphics card which they claim support in HS OOB. Seems that developers can buy from Apple their eGPU Thunderbolt 3 external graphics peripheral which uses that Sapphire model.

Good luck getting one at a reasonable price. It's a miners favorite graphics card.

The latest version of High Sierra should work almost perfectly with RX480/580 using lilu and whatever green kexts.

May I suggest a clean install?

Tried clean install...strangely the AMD pops on in 4K during the install. I get to the very end and on the final reboot, same problem... system hangs

Have you tried with the boot flag -lilubetaall to force lilu to load that is the reason the graphics aren't initializing also can you get us your clover boot log and where exactly do you have lilu and whatevergreen from the looks of it you have them directly installed and not in EFI/Clover/kexts/other which is wrong they should be injected via boot loader(Clover)

I tried lilubetaall... it freezes the system even faster on boot.

Is everyone using 6,1 bios? (That’s what I have)

Also, for Lilu, do I need all the files in the zip or just the kext? I keep reading just the kext.

They are sold out and have been since almost as soon as they were available. I tried to purchase one but they went too quick.

When using lilu don’t inject any thing with clover and you need just the kext that is prebuilt and WhateverGreen kext in the other folder

i already have rx 480 working with my system but looking for more power for the rendering of videos vega 64 FE EDITION 16GB doesnt that work oob?

No, I'm using 17,1
and you only need to drop lilu and whatever green kexts, noting else + You are not suppose to inject ATI either.
Try to have you config.plist as clean as possible at first. step by step add necessary changes.
