Guys I am on High Sierra following the instructions, but I noticed that when I play a 4K video its very, very choppy, practically un-playable! This was never the case when I was on Sierra. I have a quite powerful machine so it cannot be the computer.

Any ideas / suggestions??

I also have delays, apparently problems with drivers, as long as there are no ideas, wait until new versions are released

what kind of driver problems. is this something everyone is facing? it took me 10 times more to render a 2 min video on fcpx than it took me on Sierra.

Update went fine however performance has nothing to do with my Sierra installation.

Checkout the Unigine Heaven scores in Sierra vs High Sierra. If anyone could help would appreciate it!

Lilu-kext, IntelGraphicsFixup.kext, NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext and CodecCommander.kext in EFI-Clover-kexts-Other installed?

Would anyone know why my High Sierra is running very slow? Slow in terms of for instance, playing a 4K video file and being very very choppy. Even rendering a the 4K video in FCPX took about 6-7 times the time it took me in Sierra.

I even tried generating an SSDT for my processor but still same results...

Is the slow speed something common for anyone else?

Would appreciate your tips and advice.

Thanks!
Lilu-kext, IntelGraphicsFixup.kext, NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext and CodecCommander.kext in EFI-Clover-kexts-Other installed? IntelGraphicsFixup.kext only needed if you have Onboard GFX enabled.

Yes, and add -shikigva to bootflag in config, plist. Add -shikigva boot argument to allow online hardware video decoder.

OK I will re-test - thanks a lot. Quick question (a bit off topic). I am using model number 14.2. The closest to my CPU is actually 18.3. Should I be using the 18.3 instead?

Give it a try. But use all first with a Bootable Pendrive, in case your Hack wouldn't boot with the changes you made.
