[HALF-SUCCESS] iTunes 12.7 constantly crashing (random messages)

Update: A very weird phenomenon.

Yesterday iTunes seemed like a tamed beast and ran smoothly. Today I rebooted to see if iTunes would still remain in good mood and it started to crash from time to time. Then I cleaned the system with Onyx and rebooted again to see if iTunes would do good. Now it seemed iTunes remained tamed again...

i have a random itunes crash on skylake laptop. sorry my reply in desktop forum.
i checked lists.
1. minimize acpi patch to boot, close to pure acpi -> still itunes crash
2. not install audio kext -> still itunes crash.
3. with/without lilu + intelgraphicsfixup -> still itunes crash.
4. minimize kext(fakesmc, ps2 driver) -> still itunes crash.
5. remove any kext patch and kernel patch -> still itunes crash.
6. 19160000 or 19160002 -> still itunes crash.

from high sierra dp1 to 10.13 17A405. i have experienced itune crash.

hope apple will fix itunes.

additionally, sandy bridge laptop(hd3000) doesn't have itunes crash. very strange

@elmacci Did you ever get checksum errors when iTunes crashed? Are you still on High Sierra or have you downgraded to Sierra?

Yes. you are in the right place. Unfortunately, no solution/workaround has been discovered yet. Do you mind telling me your hardware specs?

@sherlocks can you also navigate to your music collection in Finder and tell me if you see the album artwork as the mp3/m4a's file icon? Thanks

1. Skylake i3-6100u/hd520
2. yes. i can.

i compared real mac DSDT files and my dsdt and checked each parts with ioreg. but whole is same to operate osx.

before, i removed my all stuff(kexts(except fakesmc, ps2) and dsdt patch, binary patch, kernel patch). then clean install hs, then click itunes and test itunes, but still shown itunes crash even though not install audio kext.

i suspected skylake graphics driver issue. because other intel graphic(sandy or ivy) dont have itunes crash.
i disabled my skylake driver, then test again. strangely itunes crash still happen.

very very strange. And it happens very irregularly.
Sometimes there is time to be good. However, there is a high probability that crash will occur.

i now suspect itunes software issue. because except itunes, my laptop is perfect

Dont know and cant check anymore - as mentioned earlier, I am back on sierra for now and everything is working perfectly fine again.

My iTunes crash is specifically
Linked to having the shiki = true
In my config. If I have this I have Intel hardware acceleration but iTunes will crash. Only once on opening or closing. Though.

If I remove it I have no hardware acceleration but iTunes crash.

This may not be Skylate only. I have a Haswell CPU on my hackintosh and iTunes crashes without notice.
