macOS High Sierra 10.13 Supplemental Update

This update got me with my pants on my knees. :oops: Believing it works like 10.12 ...

So, after rolling back from CCC, here are my steps:

1. Uninstall the Nvidia Web Drivers (I did not change the NvidiaWeb flag in the clover config file. Left it at true)
2. Restart
3. Copy new Apfs.efi to Clover folder.
4. Ran the update through AppStore
After restart.
Another surprise here too: At restart, boot into macOS install. At end another restart
Now boot your macOs

5. Download latest Nvidia Web driver, install and restart
6. Install audio using Toleda script audio_cloverALC-130_v0.3.command. Run and restart

Thank you for the data point! I decided to try the Supplemental Update. I uninstalled the Nvidia web driver, rebooted, applied the macOS update. Then when the system came back up I decided to reboot and enable SIP (unchecking everything under CsrActiveConfig in one of the Clover menus, then when it boots up, verifying it with "csrutil status" in a Terminal). I installed the latest Nvidia driver, then I rebooted normally and everything worked. Whew!

(Well, one hiccup - on that last reboot, it didn't actually get to the reboot - when the desktop went away I got a black screen with a spinner and no disk activity for a few minutes, so I hit the power switch for a cold reboot and everything came up okay.)

I had forgotten that after I installed the new drivers I wanted to "sudo touch /Library/Extensions/ /System/Library/Extensions/" to update the caches just in case, but looks like that wasn't necessary.

Downloaded Latest Clover, Created USB installer, Booted from USB, using -v, nv_disable=1 and dropping mats through Clover.

First reboot made sure to boot the right partition still using the above commands and again for third reboot.
Got into HS, downloaded and installed update making sure to boot from the right volume and use the same commands until into the updated HS.

Downloaded Nvdia Kext, rebooted again using the commands and also disabled sip through Clover.

Installed Nvidia Kext rebooted into HS.

Updated Clover Config to Drop Mats and put the latest config into EFI partition and here we are now.

Everything seems to running better than Sierra!! I have even re enabled Intel Graphics as well.

My advice to everyone would be persevere, We are running a Great Os on the wrong hardware, there will be issues but there is nearly always a way, that is why Clover, Tonymac, Unibeast etc exist.

What is "dropping mats"?

AAAARG, I can't get this installed. It's just complains about OSInstall.mpkg not existing. I've uninstalled Nvidia drivers, updated my apfs.efi (my MacOS drive is HFS+ anyway though), updated Clover to the latest, removed EmuVariableUefi-64.efi etc.

How can I at least remove the partially installed update?

I had High Sierra installed with HFS+ filesystem and the only problem I had was with my email (yahoo) it kept giving me the you can not delete this email problem.

so when I saw the Supplemental Update is fixing that problem I decided to do a direct update, but that was a bad idea because after update was done it kept rebooting none stop (I guess because the Nvidia web driver were not for the right build).

so I did a fresh install for Sierra all over again.

now I'm on Sierra, and I know now we have new Nvidia web divers for the latest build, so I downloaded High Sierra again and I notice the installer version it got updated from 13.0.64 to 13.0.66 now does that mean the Supplemental Update is already been applied to High Sierra installer or we still need to download and install the Supplemental Update after upgrading to High Sierra. the reason I'm asking this because I want to upgrade to High Sierra but with HFS+ file system using this command line in terminal:

/Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/startosinstall --converttoapfs NO

the other thing if I have to download in install the Supplemental Update after upgrading to High Sierra, do I need to uninstall the web driver before doing the update?

and does the Supplemental update convert the file system to APFS automatically or it keeps the file system with HFS+

Boot with nv_disable=1...use Nvidia Vesa and enable SIP. You can all do this on clover boot screen. Untick all in CsrActiveConfig...should be 0x0. With this Settings I was able to boot through on my Hack with an GTX 750 and could install the new webdriver.

When you have EmuVariableUEFI activated, does auto boot work for you? If yes, how did you get it to work? I have the Same Processor and i also need this driver, but this crackes my auto boot (with auto boot i mean "lastbootedvolume" in Clover Config)
