Hi! When I disable SIP (csrActiveConfig 0x0), all my USB ports don't work and I can't use mouse and keyboard so I can't install driver. When I set up (csrActiveConfig 0x3) USB ports works but I need 0x0 for installing driver. What is happening? How can I fix it?

I installed the HS supplemental update. Installed the latest Nvidia update (378.10.10.15.117) with SIP fully enabled. System definition is iMac14,2

Yet I am STILL seeing the freaking gIOScreenLockState error and can’t boot, this is absolutely nuts!

Does anyone have any ideas...? I’ve been hackintoshing since Leopard and High Sierra/Nvidia is without a doubt the worst I’ve ever seen

I'm having the same issue here. I'm also on iMac 14,2. It seems like iMac 14,2 used to be the most compatible setting but I'm wondering if I need to switch it up to a different.

I've tried the stuff from Post #2 and basically all of the kext combos I could figure out. I never got an error and there was never the Nvidia web drivers that I could approve in System Preferences->Security

@Nightsd, check if you have SIP disabled - had same issue after initial installation.

Anyway, regarding latest updated drivers I can confirm that it works without "NVWebDriverLibValFix.kext" but I still have issue with booting when 3 monitors are connected (DP + DVI + HDMI or DP + 2xDVI)

Any thoughts ?

The problem is that now in the new supplemental update, if I try to follow the #2 post guide and open System Prefs / Security and then install the newest Nvidia driver, it literally crashes System preferences and never pops up the “allow kext” pop up.

If I could just get these freaking kexts from this driver to be signed somehow this entire problem would be fixed

You won't be asked to allow the kexts again. Fully disable SIP. Uninstall the web driver. Reinstall the supplemental update to replace missing system files. Leave SIP disabled, install the web driver, ignoring the installer error.

Hello, this is my first post and my first attempt at building a Hackintosh, so bear with me please!
I have read all the guides and am trying to install High Sierra on my PC with the following specs:
- MB: MSI H97 Gaming 3
- CPU: Intel i5-4690
- GPU: Asus Strix GTX 960
Since I was trying a new installation of HS, I have been following this guide: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...h-sierra-public-beta-installation-usb.225520/
After solving a few unwanted problems with the file system of my USB drive and (later) of my HDD - they were both Fdisk, and I was finally able to format them as GUID using Terminal - I managed to install HS on my HDD and it can boot properly.
However, as soon as I installed the Nvidia web drivers for my GTX 960, all things screwed up. At first, I realised I was following the wrong procedure with SIP, so I turned to this very thread. After turning on SIP, I was able to install the drivers; then, I turned off SIP once again and used the sudo touch command, as advised.
However, with my Nvidia drivers installed the OS won't boot. It remains stuck on the loading bar with the Apple logo for a very long time (much longer than without the drivers), and in the end the screen turns to black.
I know this is a common problem and many other people are experiencing it. However, I have no idea how to proceed. I know I have the latest driver (117) and the latest HS release (downloaded it yesterday), so it's not an issue with those.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong with my MultiBeast settings?
I haven't installed any additional kext, and I would really appreciate any help on how to proceed!
Thanks a lot!

After a million tries, i finally got it working. Kept getting the lockstate error.

Followed the steps in post #2 completely, what eventually made it work for me:

- Don't use any extra kexts (no lilu, no nvidiawebfixup, no nvidialibval, etc. Only FakeSMC for now)
- Make sure you enable SIP as said (CsrActiveConfig 0x0)
- Set SIP to 0x3 before rebooting after installing the drivers (i kept setting it constantly to 0x67 as i had with Sierra)
- Don't forget to touch the extension folders as described
- I only added the NvidiaWeb flag to config.plist before rebooting after installation.

Updating to the supplemental update for High Sierra broke everything again so currently in the process of redoing everything again... Will update then first and then install the latest version of the webdrivers. Will try using a different SMBios then as well, got it working with 18.3 but 17.1 would be more suitable for my system.

For me system preferences crashed as well, but reopening it, it still showed the allow button and everything went fine.
