Hi KGP
I like to buy EVO 960 M2 500GB
Which card you recommended for native support or patched detail.

Thank you.

Which card? PCIe NVMe adapter or graphics cards? ;)

Do I need to do anything inorder to place my second nvme with windows back in the rig? It's placed near the memory section.

I don't think so...

Little refresh (question - only for ASUS X299 Prime Delux users) ;)

BTW guys
Do you have LiveDash working?
(little screen on our PrimeDeluxe motherboard)

I didn't watch/tried that before
until today - I tried to turn it on in Windows or Bios,
everything seems to be OK but ... still black
didn't work at the CPU temp place.

Have a nice day :D

Do you have LiveDash working?

You have right @kgp ! :D

On monday, I will go for ASUS Prime X299 Deluxe and the i7-7820X 8 core cpu! Memory will be Corsair DDR4 3000 16GB Vengeance LPX CL15 KIT for now, later more...

So guys, looks good? Ready to rock?! :D

You say I am right and you go for the i7-7820X? Yet you have the choice and chance, thus let me clearly repeat: if you can and you are not limited by your budget, go for the i9-7900X with 44 PCIe 3.0 lanes! It is definitely not only question of having or requiring 2 cores more or less!

Cheers,

KGP

I am so busy in doing all kind of stuff and answering user questions, that I might have overseen this feature at all! ;) May I innocently and stupidly ask what is LiveDash? ;)

That's not true!
  • I use my graphics card in PCIEX16_1
  • I use the osxwifi card in PCIEX16_2
  • I use the ThunderboltEX 3 in PCIEX16_3
and the BIOS does not complain at all or disables WIFI or SATA ports!
Interesting, I had my setup as shown below, however I have removed the ThunderboltEX card for now.

  • PCIEX16_1 - PowerColor red devil RX580
  • PCIEX1_1 - blocked by gpu
  • PCIEX16_2 - blocked by gpu
  • PCIEX16_3 - ThunderboltEX
  • PCIEX1_2 - OSXWifi
  • PCIEX16_4 - UNUSED
Perhaps if I was able to access PCIEX16_2 my issues would go away. I’ll try clearing the bios and rebuilding again though.

I can understand, don't worry, my thing is not so important like support for others who have bigger problems ;)

Live Dash it's a little screen on our motherboards (on the middle)
We can use it to show CPU voltage, temperatures and things like that :)

Bagi1992:
That's true... if you can - go with7900X
not for 2 more cores (like KGP mention before) but 44 PCIE lines which make a huge difference
(in not today, you will need that later) :)

I know guys, but unfortunately I am on budget already :/ I even wanted to go for 7800k first... so, later on, i will replace the cpu for an 14-18 cores version with more PCIe 3.0 lanes :)
