[solved] Boot Glitch and Screen Flickering with the HD4600 Mobile

I previously had Sierra booting without CSM enabled, of that matters.

Try also setting various ScreenResolution in config.plist/GUI (such as 1024x768).

On a sidenote, is the applelpc thing supposed to give a result?

Tried setting it to 1024x768 as you suggested, which works to fix the glitches, but the screen flickering remains, but not as bad as if I were to enable CSM.

I did follow the guide, and opted for the plugin type 1 injection, which is down via SSDT-XCPM.aml. I'm not sure why it doesn't take effect though...

Weird that your solution also worked on my dell Hackintosh.
My problem is similar, only that it happens during the login process, with all that garbled display.
Setting Inject/Intel = True would cause the glitch, but adding GUI/ScreenResolution=1024x768 seems to be a fix (although it seems a temporary one)

This problem does not manifest in Sierra/El Capitan...
 
Hiya again.

I've fixed AppleLPC via SSDT-LPC.aml.
I also reverted the CSM change, as the flickering was too much.
Just wondering if you have any ideas, and also whether you have any other fixes I should implement?

I've attached my clover folder, and ioreg, extracted just now.

What kind of flicker? You will need to provide details.

What is DVMT-prealloc set to in BIOS?

MacBookPro11,5 is a poor choice. Use MacBookPro11,1 or MacBookAir6,2.
patchmatic output is missing. Please read "Problem Reporting" carefully.

Why are you dropping MATS?

_REG->XREG patch is a huge mistake.
And since you have an ECDT, you cannot use the EC0->EC patch.

MacBookPro11,5 is a poor choice. Use MacBookPro11,1 or MacBookAir6,2.

The flicker is my screen turning off for less than half a second, and then back on.

DVMT is 128mb.

I'll change that today. Also, the problem files are as per the previous post, as no change was made.

I'm dropping MATS as it was suggested to me when I was installing. I'll try without it.

I'll fix this along with the change to MacBookPro11,1 later.

Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a go later and report back.

0xa260006 requires 32mb.
Set to 32mb.
Remove or disable the 128mb patch in your config.plist.
Enable the 9mb cursor bytes patch.

Don't forget to re-extract/re-patch ACPI after changing it.
