[HALF-SUCCESS] iTunes 12.7 constantly crashing (random messages)

@elmacci @familygw Did you convert to APFS during the upgrade, or did you stick with HFS+?

Converted to APFS. But, did a clean install, did not set up my old library, just opened itunes with a new library, and...still crashes.

On my genuine macbook with the same itunes library (i sync them between devices via onedrive) i have zero issues!

Something else is interesting: I downloaded a bought tv episode and everytime i wanted to play it, itunes crashed. I then looged out of my itunes store account, reset drm rights management via terminal as written in the readme of shiki and restarted twice (and removed shiki.kext). Result: Itunes did NOT crash anymore when trying to play the file. Of course, i only got a black screen and no video because of drm and missing shiki, but at least nocrashing.
guess what? after i logged in with my itunes store account, boom! again, crashes.

So maybe something with drm and/or appleid?

@familygw or @MatchesMalonee : Please try something, I think I am on to something:

I take it you both have IGPU enabled and a dedicated GPU and have QuickSync enabled through clover by enabling Inject Intel and injecting a connectionless platform-id?

If so, please disable "Inject Intel", reboot and try again.

Thx!

My system has the following third party kexts:
- AppleALC 1.1.4 from vit9696
- LiLu 1.1.7 from vit9696
- Shiki 2.0.5 from vit9696
- FakePCIID from RehabMan
- FakePCIID_XHCIMux from RehabMan
- FakeSMC from RehabMan
- CodecCommander from RehabMan
- AHCI_Intel_Generic_SATA
- NullCPUPowerManagement

Running the latest versions of Lilu, Shiki, FakePCIID, FakePCIID_XHCIMux and FakeSMC. Not getting any crashes on iTunes 12.7.0.166

Do you have QuickSync enabled and are you injecting intel?

Are you using the native macOS drivers for NVIDIA?

I also have iTunes crashing. I gave reinstalled iTunes and still same issue. Im hoping it'll be fixed in the next HS update. I don't think its Hackintosh related.
Did Mac owners encounter this issue as well?
