Should I use the new APFS if I have a "Fusion" drive?

In my hackintosh, I created my own fusion drive with an SSD (something like this https://www.macworld.com/article/2014011/storage-drives/how-to-make-your-own-fusion-drive.html). I heard APFS is optimized for SSD's and isn't recommended for users with a HDD.

Since I have both, is it a good idea to use APFS? what are the pros and cons to doing this with a HDD?

I do not suggest , actually I am so regret to convert hfs to apfs and finding a way to revert back without data losing ...

APFS Fusion Drive is not supported in the initial release of macOS High Sierra.
