Finally got it up and running.

Thanks for the help. Feel like I'm in a holding pattern till they release the GM. Any clue on the lag time between that and updated graphic drivers, multibeast, etc? (come on, you've got a crystal ball, right?)
Glad to hear it's up and running! It seems like the graphic drivers are okay for now, We more than likely have to wait until the consumer release, that Apple has announced for 9-25-17 two weeks from now, until we get for support for Unibeast, MultiBeast, etc! Right now I'm working on getting USB 3 working, I can ONLY get USB 2, I should be able to focus on it, this and next week and then the native Audio. No crystal ball here, just wheels of steel turntables! lol

Any updates with USB3?

I've got exactly the same setup, and can't use more than 4 usb drives

I upgraded to High Sierra and am just about ready to Botton up my rig. I still haven't configured the USB 3 yet with RehabMan guide and Dragon's help. It's a lengthy project and I am waiting to do a fresh install of High Sierra, instead of the upgrade, which is buggy. ALL my USBs work, but only at USB 2 speed. I am temporarily using a USB PCI card. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA1DS1EA8223&ignorebbr=1

Ahh I see.

Let me know your progress!

So, if I got a *compatible* USB 3 PCI card for my motherboard, would it effectively work straight out of the box? Without any of these USB kexts and mods?

Yes the card works with no kexts or mods! I am not sure of the speed, I don't have any measuring apps for USB3, but everything I throw onto a USB 3 Flash drive seems to zip over faster. I really don't use USB 3 expect for transferring video content from a camera.

Excellent! So i'm just tempted to buy a USB 3 PCI card then! To avoid this hassle of getting the built in USB 3's to work!

I am still going to correctly configure my USB 3 issue to address Apples 15 port limit, for convenience and in case I have to expand my rig. I'm using mine temporarily. But I guess if you have room and it, does in fact run, at USB 3 speeds. I am looking for free Mac Apps that test USB speeds.

Yeah, that makes sense.

I've tried following the guides on here to address my ports correctly, but to no avail. Using the USB Inject All kext seems to make the boot take about 4 mins, and then after the progress bar at the black Apple logo screen reaches the end, the screen just goes black, and stays black.

I haven't used USBInjectAll kext. But am addressing the USB 3 issue through a thread I started here.

It would be good to elaborate on fixing USB 3 there.

Finally getting around to installing High Sierra and getting my rig running as a daily user.

mrclassicrecord - any new tips or additions to your remarkable earlier guide?

I'm dealing with the Nvidia card issue.

What's the deal with USB 3? Does it look workable? What else?

Thanks in advance.
