Sorry, what I meant was that I had run: sudo trimforce enable

Not necessary with TRIM patch in config.plist.
Why implement two redundant methods?
Trim, any way you have enabled it, should be disabled.

Ok. I will disable it completely.

Violet Dragon - I am running a copy of your settings except that I have a nvdia GPU. I am using your your SSDT-GFX0 and post_install_nvidia_graphics.

My SSD is formatted to APFS which I suspect is the problem.

Latest problem files attached. Screenshots of verbose are also attached.

I disabled TRIM purposely. Using Apples TRIM via Terminal is not a good idea. Ioreg looks fine however Native Powermanagement is not implemented. AppleHDA is damaged. Do a Fresh install. Config is still incorrect. Inject Kext should be Disabled. KextStat output is messy. Do a fresh install. Dont touch any apples Kexts.

I recommend staying away from APFS on a hack. Stick with HFS+.

High Sierra on my H77N-WIFI works perfectly fine with the same config as the Z77N-WIFI Repo has. Except im using onboard iGPU.

I disabled TRIM and I also reviewed VioletDragon's suggestions and made all of his suggested changes. Everything is up and working.

There is still the 3:40 seconds where the computer lags while it says HID: Legacy shim 2.

I am ok with how things are working. At least the computer starts up and runs fine. Maybe someone will figure out a solution to the lag in the future.

Thank you Violet and Rehab for your help in troubleshooting.

What are your BIOS settings? Have you implemented Native Powermanagement?

Violet - I believe PowerManagement is working.

I did generate my own aml (when I followed your guide) but you allowed me to access SSDT-GFX0.aml. I am currently using yours. Can I run yours and mine from the same folder? Should I? I figured no.

You mentioned: "AppleHDA is damaged" - I replaced it as you suggested but now my onboard sound doesn't work. I had run Toleda's audio_cloverALC-130_v0.3.command and I think it patched it so it would work.

My Bios settings should be the same as yours as I looked at your settings when I set things up. I will check again to be sure.

baryw, have you made a carbon copy clone of the system, booted from it, reverted your normal boot disk back to hfs+ and then cloned the backup back? that got rid of the Legacy Shim 2 stall for me - just a suggestion. It appears APFS, as VioletDragon suggested, and I discovered just prior to his post by reverting mine to HFS+, is the cause of the stall. APFS just doesn't like hacks.

Incorrect. Powermanagement is not implemented. X86PlatformPlugin is not loaded. cloverALC is not needed. SSDT-GFX0 has pinconfigs. Probably need to use Audio Layout 1. Your Config is such a mess probably better to reinstall.
SSDT-GFX0 is patching ACPI not for Powermanagement. SSDT.aml is for Powermanagement.
