I was using @kgp's 10.12.6 work-around on my High Sierra 10.13 build (the AppleGraphicsControl.kext policy file from 10.12.6, patched web drivers and a utility that updates the macOS version in NVDAStartupWeb.kext).

Installed 10.13, reapplied the fix, then saw the official drivers came out. Initially I just used the Nvidia control panel to download and install the new drivers, but got the same error that everyone seems to be getting about validating your system. Found a thread by @kgp that you should uninstall the old drivers first using the Nvidia control panel. This may be optional, just reporting what worked for me.

- config.plist has NvidiaWeb true, nv_disable _unchecked_; my 10 series board needs /drivers64UEFI/EmuVariableUefi-64.efi
- replaced AppleGraphicsControl.kext in /S/L/E with vanilla (the vanilla was there as .kext.bak) using Kext Utility to rebuild caches
- uninstalled drivers via control panel
- rebooted (no extra boot flags)
- downloaded and installed drivers, installed, got error, clicked continue
- at this point if you're running a SMBIOS that needs it I understand you need to reapply AGDPFix, I am running iMac14,2 and do not apparently need it so did not run it
- rebooted (no extra boot flags) to working system

My understanding is that issues relate to either emulating vram (EmuVariableUefi-64.efi fix), AGDPFix.app needing to run, not cleanly uninstalling the 10.12.6 fix from a 10.13 system if you installed that fix, and possibly needing NVWebDriverLibValFix.kext on some systems (but my iMac14,2 system does not need AGDPFix.app or NVWebDriverLibValFix.kext).

ram 32gm
gtx 1080ti

I want to find a solution. I am in a situation where I need to edit video but I can not work. Someone point it out.

I tried this and I tried that too, but there is no answer. Give me a successful man.

Clean installation total of 12 times until now

One . NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for macOS High Sierra 10.13.0 Installation
2. Do not reboot. Apply AGDPFix.app

Do not do this. Is there something else? I wonder.

Even if the writing in English is strange, please look.

I added

NVWebDriverLibValFix.kext. Latest version here: https://github.com/mologie/NVWebDriverLibValFix/releases

It is working now. I did not need to add Lilu / NvidiaGraphicsFixup or AGDP patch. I am using an SMBIOS that allows for Nvidia. If you are using Imac 14,2 18,3 and others, these are not needed. You usually only need those for iMac 15,1 17,1 and Mac Pro 6,1

want to know the installation procedure and method.

Thank you for your detailed explanation.

1. NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for MacOS High Sierra 10.13.0 Installation. - Do you restart? -

When it restarts, it sees black screen.

Do you wonder if you need to patch without rebooting?

I am not sure I understand. I installed HS onto a blank drive using a USB installer.

I used the Clover UEFI I had been using for Sierra. All kexts loading through EFI>EFI>Clover>Kexts>other

I enabled SIP and installed the NVIDIA drivers, then gave it permission in gatekeeper. I got the black screen on reboot. I tried adding Lilu and NvididaGraphicsFixup (although i knew better) and changing the config.plist.

I went back to my original configuration and turned SIP back OFF. Then at the last minute I added NVWebDriverLibValFix.kext to EFI>EFI>Clover>Kexts>other and it worked.

Someone on another forum suggested adding it but the reply to him was negative so I skipped it. Too bad. This would have been solved hours ago.

EDIT. You may also need AGDP and or NVidiaGraphics/Lilu .kext if you do not have a System Definition that allows for Nvidia.

I wonder if sip activation is dirt? I am getting an error when I run a gatekeeper privilege. Ignore the error and reboot the installation> Reboot I am wondering how to boot if the black screen does not load. Due to the black screen, it is often necessary to reinstall.

Is there a way to boot without reinstalling?

The nv_disable = 1 option should not be given.

If you have a solution, please reply.

For me I was able to get back in but only because I also boot Sierra on the same machine. I rebooted into Sierra and removed all the Nvidia Web kexts and bundles from S/L/E L/E on the High Sierra drive. Then I could boot into High Sierra as if I never installed the Web Drivers. Then you can uninstall the rest of it as the Nvidia Preference Pane is still in System Preferences.

I can confirm this worked for me! Just installing NVWebDriverLibValFix.kext with Kext Wizard (or any other kext tool). Then installed Nvidia drivers which gave me an error (no matter). Then i enabled Nvidia Web Driver on Clover and that's it!

Thank you very much!

No problems updating via App Store to High Sierra and the 1080ti is working fine with the new web drivers. I did get the "problem on installation" dialogue installing the web drivers but ignored it. SIP disabled on this machine since last year.

Black screen on restart solved by running AGDPfix on a remote login screen. Same procedure as always for me.
