I think we have a BIG problem:

If you do a CLEAN installation, then macOS doesn't boot anymore!

I was having this problem too and already had the latest Lilu. I looked into what causes the driver installer to show that error upon installation and it is caused by the installer detecting that SIP is disabled for kext signing. I re-enabled SIP and was able to boot successfully.

Thank you for the reply.

Please, can you exactly explain, how did you managed this? How did you installed the drivers?

When booting right after High Sierra install, I installed them the normal way: using the driver package provided by NVIDIA. During boot, I went into clover options > System Parameters > changed System Integrity Protection to 0x00 and it booted with the drivers fully functional. Then I edited my clover config.plist to force enable SIP by setting CsrActiveConfig to 0x00.

Edit: Just wanted to point out that you cannot leave the field CsrActiveConfig blank, even though it says 0x is the default value. Leaving it blank will cause clover to use the value stored in NVRAM, which will be whatever was in that field before you removed it. You have to type in 0x00.

Have you made a clean installation? Did you installed the drivers with SIP disabled?

EDIT: it sticks on gIOScreenLockState 3

I installed directly over 10.12.6, not a clean install. I did install the drivers for 10.13 with SIP disabled once I booted for the first time (which loaded the basic graphic drivers, not the NVIDIA ones since they were for 10.12.6). Then I re-enabled SIP during boot up.

As I said: with a CLEAN installation it doesn‘t work!

I do understand that, but also understand that a clean installation doesn't mean your EFI partition is clean. Did you start with a brand new clover install too? Do you actually have SIP fully enabled and it still doesn't work? SIP settings won't change with a clean install since clover sets it during boot.

Ive done a clean install.

these were my steps.

1. Disable gatekeeper via terminal (google for the command).
2. Install web drivers (ignore error).
3. Ensure latest Lilu kext enabled
4. Reboot

Note: Ensure Nvidia webdrivers is ticked as well as inject kexts. I use clover configurator.
I also had iGPU enabled in BIOS (no idea if it makes a difference).
