It has to be from a recent build, beta 8, or 9 is the same as this release.
ok i will extract from the dmg this time and what should i do with hckrnvme kext which sits in s/l/e should i removed it before clicking to install ? and do i require lilu.kext and whatevergreen.kext and something else in kext/other folder of efi

For Intel HD 6XX (Kaby Lake) iGPUs do we still need ig-platform-id=0x59120000 or is that not needed? I know we need -disablegfxfirmware but I'm not sure what that does...

100 meg connection, took about 20 minutes... Now how about a Nvidia 980 TI driver? Suck with one monitor, maya cashes creating a primitive Siri blinks all over the place.... guess the waiting game begins....

Anybody notice crazy text on the boot screen after the High Sierra firmware upgrade? I use refind for mac and Windows and get a bunch of junk before I can boot....

I'm just finished installing this on a new 128GB Sandisk SSD now. Have a plethora of those lying around. Just waiting on UniBeast/MultiBeast and Nvidia drivers.

updated, had to switch from DisplayPort to DVI/HDMI ... which I discovered because my bluetooth speaker kicked on whilst the screen was black ... otherwise flawless upgrade.

Used the High Sierra audio guide, thanks Toledo! https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/high-sierra-desktop-realtek-applehda-audio.226433/

Gained 10 Gigs from the update, so that's nice as well!!

Gained 10 Gigs from the update...urm, what do you mean by this? For example, before update HS your Sierra disk occupied 50GB, after your disk only 40GB filled?

Success...no changes to my HS Beta setup. No issue with APFS conversion. Smooth Install.

It appears that the update broke my AVB audio ethernet interface.... i have a link led but the interface does not show a link in network preferences and the MOTU AVB 1248 interface no longer sees the macOS AVB audio stream. I will do some more troubleshooting tomorrow and post back results. The interface used native mac drivers for the board i installed.

I am trying to install ALC892 audio kext through MultiBeast but MultiBeast can not see any system partition to install. Trying get HDMI audio work but no luck. Gigabyte mobo and ALC892 chipset

You may have to do it manually using kextbeast. Do you have ApfsEFI in your Clover folder?
