Direct Update to macOS Sierra using Clover

Hi guys,

I made an unsuccessful attempt a while ago and i'd like to try again. Before I start, let me ask you a newbie question (i think had i asked prior to my first attempt, I would be successful).

How can i find which are the extra necessary kexts?

As many have mentioned "without caches" is no longer option. Should i replace this with another option?
What about "Inject kexts"? If I remember correctly, this option was also absent in the latest clover.

Is there a way to keep running a safe/working version of El Capitain while trying to install Sierra? The SSD partition did not work (read below)... Would a separate drive be safe or can they still interfere with one another?

My system is a Gigabyte GA-H97N-Wifi + i7 4770/HD4600 + 16GB RAM + SSD Evo 250GB

I got a Radeon RX560 so I need to update to Sierra to be able to use it. This GPU works OOB on Sierra.

I partitioned my SSD in two 125GB drives, installed El Cap in partition2 and got everything working (boot, audio, etc). Then I installed another El Cap on the partition1, got it working, and updated to Sierra using this guide. Boot and Audio did not work (I have been trying to make this work for days, so this is not the point here). So I went back to the partition2 to keep using the computer with El Capitain in this meantime, but internal boot and audio were gone too! Running multibeast again did not fix it. Is separate drives the only way? But is it sure to keep working without interference?

I updated to Sierra without any issue. Only I needed to update / install audio driver.

which one i should copy the kexts from to EFI/clover/kexts/other..
L/E or S/L/E ? .. also there's no "Without Cache" option on my clover ( 4200 ) , i'm try to update from yosemite 10.10.5, but at my first try , seems got kernel panic and always restart at Apple logo after success install the Sierra.. now i revert it back using my time machine, and try to figure out why my update is failed

I had kernel panic and no way to stop reboot on panic in options at boot time (option was unticked but still rebooting after panic).
I was lucky to take one clear picture, after a few attempts, and figure out it was the VoodooPs2Controller kext (laptop keyboard and mouse).
After testing multiple versions from this website, I had to install the latest version from RehabMan; https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-voodoo-ps2-controller/downloads/
Now Sierra is working fine.
Next step, get the Nvidia mezzanine (shared with Intel graphics) card works (possible?).
Thank you again for your great job. Fantastic to have a working Mac on a 2012 laptop PC.

I'm planning to do this and I'm doing a Carbon Copy Clone of my hard drive first. Do I need to do a copy of the EFI partition as well in case the upgrade fails?

IIRC, the newer versions of CCC do copy the EFI partition. But, I'm not sure. Try it. If it doesn't copy the EFI partition, mount both EFI partitions and copy the /EFI/ from the installation drive to the backup drive's EFI partition. No big deal.

I'm trying to install. When I click restart on the installation program, an extra HD in clover with Macos install doesn't show up.
What to do about that?

I'm trying to do a clean reinstall of macOS Sierra on my already set-up CustoMac. I lost my existing UniBeast flash drive, so do I use this method with a standard Sierra install flash drive or do I make a new UniBeast drive? Thanks!
