Hi Codeye,

With regards to the BCM94352Z wifi/BT card .... does the wifi work for you in windows 10 ?

When in Windows 10 once i join a wifi network the system locks up .. either immediately or soon after. I've tried every driver i can find and have installed all Windows 10 updates but problem remains .... really frustrating as the wifi works so well in OSX & Linux.

The cause of the crash/lock up is always the Broadcom driver .. specifically bcmwl63a.sys .. like i said i've tried loads of different versions of the driver including Dell & Lenovo + Others .. all have the same problem

Lots of other users reporting the same or similar issues with this card on many different forums .. see google results

Would be very interested to know if it works for you (or others) ok ?

Cheers
Jay

Sorry Jay if this is off-topic. I had this issue with Windows 10 aswel as Windows 7. Ive got the BCM94352Z in one of my Desktops I've also got the BCM943602CS had the same problem. I found that uninstalling Drivers and downloading Drivers from Microsoft Update fixed my problem. Just thought id let you :). Some of these Broadcom Drivers seems to be really buggy in Windows 10 & 7.

Hummmm,

Many thanks for your reply ... i uninstalled the current 3rd party drivers and let windows install the drivers then ran windows update but its installed the old 2013 braodcom drivers that have been bundled with windows since forever ... :(

Any chance you do a screen grab on device manager so i can see what version your running and by who ?

This is what i got are after letting windows 10 do its thing ...

bcmdriver.PNG

Needless to say they are worse than the 3rd party drivers, system locks up while entering wifi key ... at least with the other drivers i was able to connect to a network .. then they would lock up ..LOL

So damn annoying ... I cant believe that a m.2 card could be so problematic as you would expect it to be a current device, but its based on a old chip set and no one seems to have bothered updating and singing the drivers ... sigh ... :banghead:

Any help you can offer much appreciated ...

Cheers
Jay

Is the WIFI hardware working fine in macOS & Linux? I didn't have any lock ups with my Card only had Blue Screens. I will attach a Screenshot for you when I get home.

I just checked my Windows 10 Device manager - i have the exact same wifi driver version as you posted, and have no issues whatsoever with wifi. In case it helps, my Bluetooth driver version is "Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 USB", from Broadcom, dated 2/16/2016, version 12.0.1.940. Could be the interaction between the two drivers is only compatible with certain versions.

My Broadcom M.2 card is a BCM94352Z, although it was listed on eBay as: Lenovo Yoga 2 13 Laptop WiFi Wireless Bluetooth Card 20-200480 04X6020

Hope that helps.

Ahh well thanks for checking ...

Same Card as you and works perfect in OSX and Linux but locks up when i connect to wifi under windows 10 ... seems to be a very common issue with this card ...

Cheers
Jay

Update: Made some progress with above ... this driver is supposed to fix the issue with bcmwl63a.sys (see changes)
Its improved things quite a bit, i can connect to wifi and use it for a while .. sometimes a few mins, sometimes as much as an hour but eventually it locks up ... :banghead::beachball: buts its progress i suppose ...

Have any of you Spectre X360 guys updated to the latest BIOS F.20 ?

https://support.hp.com/gb-en/driver...-convertible-pc/13823372/swItemId/ob-192328-1

Not sure how but my system updated to it even though i did not ask/select it ?
nvme no longer assessable in OSX even when booting from configured USB or clone HDD ?

Cheers
Jay

Update: I still don't know how this version got installed .. HP Support Assistant is still showing version F.11 as being the latest BIOS version .. WTF ??... however my OSX booting issues where to do with a corrupted MSR after a windows lockup and nothing to do with the new BIOS ... blowing away the MSR and re-creating it via MS recovery console resolved the issue.

Once i re-patched the F.20 DSDT & SSDT's all is well ... and as a bonus it looks to have solved the bluetooth issue .. so far every cold/warm boot the bluetooth has initialised correctly and no longer requires multiple sleep/wake/reboots before it works. no changes to BT firmware loader or clover ....

Will update this post if situation changes ..

Update2: Hummm BT still not always initialising correctly .... still requires reboot/sleep/wake like before other than that F.20 BIOS seems OK.

10.12.6 seems to be a game changer.
Turns out setting SMBIOS for MacBookPro14,2 does the trick with device 0x59168086 ig-platform-id 0x59160000 and no other clover graphics patches.

Interested in tying this now, but not sure i understand the phrase "with device 0x59168086 ig-platform-id 0x59160000 "

My interpretation is that your injecting 0x59168086 as Clover IntelGFX FakeID and setting APPL,ig-platform-id with a value of 0x59160000 ? in Clover's Graphics section .. is this correct ?

Cheers
Jay

EDIT: Don't worry .... got it working was as i thought ....

I am attempting to install 10.11.6 on my HP 13-y013cl. I am struggling with the NVME drive as it is not detected in Disk Utility after booting off of the install USB. I have generated the correct HackrNVMeFamily kext using RehabMan's method, as well as created the SSDT_NVMe-Pcc.aml file. I also have _DSM to XDSM replacement setup in the config.plist. I removed all references to the IONVMeFamily.kext patches in the config.plist. I do not know what else to try.

The NVME drive is a Samsung MZVLV256HCHP-000H1.

Please let me know if any of you have any suggestions. Thank you for your time.
