[Guide] ASUS ZENBOOK UX305FA for El Capitan

Hello, I do not understand under ElCapitan I have everything that works as I spend on Sierra, I can not get anything, could you give me some indication to move forward
is that just changing the config.plist with MacBook8.1, is it enough to correct the problem?

Just do this:
1. For powermanagement install the kext DummyX86PlatformPlugin.kext in S/L/E.
2. Use the other files in your EFI folder.
That's all.

Runs under Latest Sierra update.

really thank you very much, I found a bit of functionality except the wifi and the display
is what you put patches or display patches, because when I apply the core display patch for my screen QHD 3200x1800, it does not work anymore and for wifi I have DW1560 BCM94352, I applied the kext:

* Installed latest version of FakePCIID.kext from Rehabman
* Installed latest version of FacePCIID_Broadcom_WiFi.kext from Rehabman
* Installed latest version of BrcmPatchRam2.kext from Rehabman
* Installed latest version of BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext from Rehabman

and i have the change in config.plist

<string> AirPortBrcm4360 - fcvo </ string>
<Key> Disabled </ key>
<False />
<Key> Find </ key>
<Data> = gflSqgAAdSk </ data>
<Key> Name </ key>

however I read that the brightness control is not stable on Sierra, yet it worked when I upgraded to Sierra and no longer works now, is there a solution? ?

is the SSDT-Hack that allows to adjust the brightness?

hi folks,
i installed el capitan successfully even with power-management. working with it almost one year. but one thing drives me crazy - if the battery is under 10% the cpu switches to a energy saving mode - with fixed low clocking - as far as i can remember it's at IA=0.5ghz and GT=0.3ghz. in this case you can't do anything on that laptop anymore - os is then extremly slow. any hints / advice to this issue? thx.

Seems prudent to plug the laptop into AC power when the 10% threshold is reached.

So I basically have (what I think) is a near perfect build running on High Sierra thanks to this guide, Rehabman, and Anerik - Only thing from an initial look that isn't working is ALS.

Rehabman would it be possible for you to take a look if you have a minute to double check if things are as they should be? If so could you let me know which files you'll need, please?

Use the tool mentioned in the FAQ, that way it is less likely you'll omit something.

The "tools/" subdirectory is on the path too, just in case you want to keep it all self-contained.

I think none of the stuff in the "build on another mac" phase requires admin rights.

Hi! I managed to install El Capitan on my UX305FA. Now i wanted to prepare the aml-files on my iMac and ran into the same problem, when i run make
iasl: No such file or directory

i did copy the iasl from ./downloads/tools to ./tools but it still doesn‘t work. :/

I also tried to copy it to /usr/bin which gives me „Operation not permitted“.
