Interested in the new file system. (APFS) Curious how much better (speed/security) it will be over HFS+.

An interesting read about the conversion.

Great read, sums it up well. I'm thinking this APFS system will lead to a mandatory Cloud storage i.e. $$$$$$$$$ monthly access fees, and most users wont know what hit them for a few months and by then it will be too late to convert back to HFS+ or get your money back.

is there any thread where i can find answer if there will be no problems with new file system APFS through auto update for hackintosh users? or different form of question - will be APFS file system problem for hackintosh?

I hope fixes for copy&paste and iTunes crashes after pixel clock patch will appear by the time it's released. I highly doubt it though. No Mac users have encountered any such problem, so it may very well be a feature instead of a bug.

I hope there will be alot of troubleshooting as well, cause my Hackintosh only bootet once after HS Beta installation, after that I just got a "error loading kernel cache 0xe" in clover, and I couldn't boot anymore. I tried serveral plists, but nothing and nobody could help me

Conversion will be automatic for the root disk on systems installed on SSDs. Update to the latest clover and install Apple's APFS EFI driver to /efi/clover/drivers.... if applicable.
