Wiki is inaccurate. The setting appears to affect cosmetics only.
Are you sure of this? I have also refrained from changing it because of the Wiki. Thanks.

Another question:
What components have gotten 'native' at least for now in High Sierra Betas? I have heard of
BCM94352Z WiFi
Samsung 950/960 NVMe disks
AMD Radeon cards no longer needing WhateverGreen&Lilu Combo. Starting with which generation?

Is this correct? Are there any other improvements regarding compatibility?

Are you sure of this?

In my experience it is purely cosmetic.
YMMV.

That has been my experience too.

No such hardware here.

Thanks RehabMan.

Edit: I read a post by slice at insanely that 6700/HD 530 no longer need IntelGraphicsFixup and Inject, is this correct as well?

High Sierra is looking great so far.

I'm on 10.13 beta 17A352a and native support is for
- SSD m.2
- CPU Kaby Lake i7-7500U HD620
I don't have any kext and injection for that but for wifi hm...
I have BCM94352Z M.2 NGFF and removed patches from clover config.plist and wifi2,4+5GHz+BT works fine(airdrop and hand off too) but still have BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext, BrcmPatchRAM2.kext and FakePCIID_Broadcom_WiFi.kext because without these kext wifi and BT not working(no hardware recognised).

In 10.12.6 for wifi i had to have patch in clover
Code:
            <dict>
                <key>Comment</key>
                <string>AirPortBrcm4360 - fcvo, 10.12.x (credit the-darkvoid)</string>
                <key>Disabled</key>
                <false/>
                <key>Find</key>
                <data>
                gflSqgAAdSk=
                </data>
                <key>Name</key>
                <string>AirPortBrcm4360</string>
                <key>Replace</key>
                <data>
                gflSqgAAZpA=
                </data>
            </dict>

           and Fake id

            <key>WIFI</key>
            <string>0x0</string>

now i only use your kexts.(but maybe there is a way to remove them?)

Where did you find information that BCM94352Z is native supported?

Thank you

            <key>WIFI</key>
            <string>0x0</string>

No longer needed for me in 10.13.
(FakeID/WIFI=0 has no effect, never needed anyway).

Where did you find information that BCM94352Z is native supported?

Found that fcvo patch no longer needed, therefore native with simple IOKitPersonality injection (eg. FakePCIID).

I always prefer Config.plist & ACPI HotPatching over Kext installation, i like to have my Installation as "Vanilla" as possible.
If DRM content now works without IntelGraphicsFixUp.kext that would be really awesome.
That would mean i won't need Shiki.kext; Lilu.kext; IntelGraphicsFixUp.kext.
Less Patches on Kernel & Kext Patches section.
High Sierra seems to be a major OS Update for the Hackintosh Community.

@Fergarth

What clover/efi files are you using ? I can’t get my X99_ to update. Stops at pack error .

As expected.

Is the HECI -> IMEI patch mandatory for proper HD 530 config in 10.12.6, but not in 10.13? It reminds me that I havent even used it in 12.6, but from what I've read today I should.

Should be used in 10.13 as well?

Apple computers use IMEI and this is one of those cases where we want to match it (contrary to other examples like USB, where we want to be different).
