No idea. For you to experiment with.

MacBookPro13,3 has discrete graphics with Apple GMUX.

It enables the 4th connector in the connector table.

There are other USB guides.
All are linked from the FAQ.

Do you think Thinkpad dock can output through display port over the builtin display as bios has option for that?

or the Thinkpad dock will not work at all ?

for update to any one come here I am able to boot Nvidia as dedicated card within dp (0mb) injection through clover
even I can play video in safari youtube and sleep resume no problem I will stick with intel till now
---------
through web drive (8 mega ) with glitches

I never attempt to predict the future.

Sounds like your graphics configuration is wrong.

I contacted Lenovo support and he confirmed the intel hd530 has access to display port in duplicate mode is there is any chance to get external display based on this info

Hey, there! I've been on the same quest as you for the past few days and I'm surprised I just ran into your posts. I just posted this into another thread, but I think HDMI is connected through Thunderbolt, so maybe getting that working will get HDMI out through the NVIDIA card.

Here's the link where I got that info:

https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/...eries-laptops/thinkpad-p50/solutions/ht500321

I also saw the option you're talking about with DisplayPort vs. dock in the BIOS. However, I think that may be tied to the NVIDIA card as well. Here's why:

If "Graphics Device" in BIOS is set to "Discrete Graphics" then your "Boot Display Device" option is "ThinkPad LCD / Display Port / Display on dock"

If "Graphics Device" is set to "Hybrid Graphics" then the only option for "Boot Display Device" is "ThinkPad LCD."

Therefore, I think both HDMI and DisplayPort and Thunderbolt 3 display are only available via NVIDIA and likely only with Thunderbolt 3 working.

yes I agree with that except in windows 10 if you set to external display HDMi it use external display
if you set to duplicate mode it use hd530 I just need duplicate of my lap display

what do you think about dock there is option in hyper mode to make priority for display port on dock

Hey, I have the same Laptop as msharaf, but just with UHD screen and 32GB RAM, and I am still struggling to get the intel graphics working properly(with 1500mb).
When I use his CLOVER folder, just with my own ACPI, and CoreDisplayPatch(https://github.com/Floris497/mac-pixel-clock-patch-V2/blob/master/CoreDisplay-patcher.command) with 10.12.5, I get the Desktop rendered multiple times on the bottom of the screen, as seen in my attachment.

I attached the informations, created by booting up with my old clover folder(with 31mb vram...), the issue mentioned occurs when using the folder msharaf provided, just with my own ACPI files

Problem reporting files must represent the problem scenario.
Keep in mind UHD requires patching CoreDisplay (see FAQ).
