Bombshell today from Grant Petty, CEO of Blackmagic Design, at NAB:

"The good news is that we have reduced the price of the full DaVinci Resolve Studio to only $299, so it’s much more affordable now."

[The limited version is still free:)]

Upgraded my hack to latest Sierra 10.12.6 now Resolve 14b or even 12.5 won't run, crashes after a few seconds with a hard reboot. On a NUC6 with Intel 540 graphics (not so powerful but worked ok with El Capitan)
I think it's a graphics problem but don't now, anyone with similar problems?

I don't have an answer to your problem (sorry), but I do know that Resolve uses the GPU exclusively for all image processing, so it's not surprising it would have issues with internal graphics.

Absolutely, I once managed to get the same hard reboot just by browsing images with preview. And preview many times shows banding artifacts on preview images so it's definitely a graphics problem. The only interesting things is that it affects mainly image preview and Blackmagic Resolve. Other graphic intensive program like Fusion 9 and Premiere Pro runs ok.

I am facing the same issue since upgrading from 10.12.5 to 10.12.6,
on both V12.5.6 and V14.0. Resolve is loading OK, but crashes when I hit "play" or move on the timeline.
Have you found a solution or anything that can shed some light on this?

Same problem. It quits unexpectedly and "randomly"...

I solved my problems doing a complete reinstallation following Rehabmans guide for NUC Skylake. Now graphics show no problems and Davinci Resolve 14 runs perfect.

Sorry for continuously going off topic but it may be useful to someone so i'll just add:
It seems to be audio related.
Using a usb sound card solved it here.
