Advice for Vorke V2 - I5-6200U - SSD128 ($369)

No not yet, but I am really thinking about getting one. I was hoping that someone else would already bought one. The funny thing was that when they first made there commercial they said it could run OSX and a day later they removed it. But I think this is a fantastic little device! So if someone else beats me in getting one please let us know here

Maybe they had to remove it for copyright reasons, who knows!
Btw they also include a free Wireless Keyboard with Multi-touch Touchpad with the one I mentioned earlier.

It's pretty hard to beat. I just built a MINIATX and it was a challenge and WAY more expensive.

So far so good, only showstopper is easily side-stepped by ticking the USB ownership box in Clover boot options. Install went smoothly otherwise, loaded two drivers, audio and ethernet. No luck with the audio over HDMI yet but ethernet works fine so far.

Nice Prop-guy! I also found out in a new Youtube video that you can upgrade almost anything on the board including the Ram with 2 slots

Yes, my Vorke had a consumer-labelled Corsair stick of memory in, so it should be easy to get a second matching one (for a total of 16GB, there is one 8GB stick in mine).

Don't want anyone to think this is all rainbows and unicorns, the HD 520 graphics make the system look like a too-overclocked video card is running it. Until we get a solid Apple driver for that this will be sketch. Did run it into a 2160p monitor last night, two resolutions supported, 2160p and 1080p nothing else or in between. That could be EDID based, will try it on another monitor with different mode support tonight. The YouTube videos I ran looked solid though with no visible artifacts, what you get is the slow, blocky filling, with white flashing lines on OS UI changes and artifacts on mouse-over of UI elements in Safari tabs, etc. The USB-C port did not support DVI over USB, not a shocker but something I wanted to check, will check in Ubuntu to see if it works there.

Applied the 10.12.2 combo update without incident and the reported vram number jumped from 7 to 31MB. Still trying to sort the audio, looks like it is just a matter of getting the IDs correct.

The top and bottom of the case have some flex, so be careful when pressing the power button (you have to hold it for a few seconds) not to put too much pressure--the CPU fan can bottom out on the bottom cover.

Looking forward to mine arriving. Glad the ram is stock sodimm. the m.2 wifi card looks like an easy swap.... Mind you I've pulled most of my hair out trying to get the WiFi to work on my Z170N MacMini build. BT fine, no wifi.

Any surprises on BIOS settings? USB boot issues? Audio in/out ports??

The BIOS is stripped to the bone and SecureBoot is off by default, so other than boot order there is nothing you can really change (other than the useless admin password). I had no issues booting from USB, it has a headset jack, but as I mentioned I have not gotten the audio driver to work yet so no in or outs are showing. I did begin with Sierra.

I am interested on this mini PC. Have you solved the problem of audio? And how many memory slots on the motherboard? I know there is one stick of 8GB. But the review shows there is only one slot and can not install another stick.

I have not gotten an audio fix prior to moving on to Sierra, I suspect that the HDMI patches available now will likely address it if I could get the Sierra installer to boot, but alas I have not thus far.

The board has only a single sodimm slot, so you cannot expand memory with an additional stick. You would have to replace the one that is preinstalled.
