@kgp
coming back to your guide concerning X.12
unfortunatelly the x.13 doesn't like my rig and all the components (I think it is concerning dual graphic card)
which is logical I guess :(
i have tons of reboot, tons of problems and it is of course not reliable at all :(

so I will post everything from my rig here
an sadly will wait to obtain the webdriver for X.13 (need to be super patient)

but anyway your guide for X.12 is perfect and the tiny mods I did are not big
the Xeon E5 v4 can be installed with considering them like Broadwell E, It fully works

thx again and sorry to not help you more on X.13
:(

Sorry to hear that! Did you use the appropriate BIOS setting for XCPM on 10.13? See post 1753 above, concerning the correct C-State Limit BIOS setting! Your reboots could be related to a not properly set C-State Limit in the BIOS!

Cheers,

KGP

1.) Just follow my guide! You need to use AppleALC.kext, Lilu.kext and CodecCommander.kext as well as the following "DSDT patch" in the "ACPI" Section of the "Clover Configurator"

Code:
Comment: Find: Replace:

Rename ALZA to HDEF 414c5a41 48444546

If my SSDT-HDMI.ssdt does not directly work with your system, you have to create a new one following of @shilohh 's guide and method

With the above audio approach, VoodooHDA.kext must be removed!

Update with ADD-ON

2.) The package C-State Limit must be on C6(non Retantion) state!!!! Otherwise you face reboots! You can also try to run XCPM with CPU-State Disabled, if you reboots are still occurring with C-State Limit of C6(non Retantion) state! However the latter settings perfectly works in my case!

Cheers,

KGP

Thank you, I'll try your file and if no luck, will go through the guide you've linked.

As for the C-state, I'm not facing any reboots. OS boots properly and everything is working. And this has me wondering. Well, it works so I'm not complaining

Cheers.

Ahhh my bad... I did not properly read your comment concerning the C-State in post 1751. Now reading it again I see that your wrote that your rig is working fine when the C-State Limit is set to C6(non Retantion) state! This is totally in line with my expectations! Sorry for the basic misunderstanding before!

Cheers,

without optimization and tiny problem of stability

here my results,
I will see where I have the problems (clearly considering EIST)
for the rest, YES OC the graphic cards can bring you gains ONLY if you know how to and stable on W$
I synchronized at 1266MHz GPU and 3900MHz GDDR5
so a gain (on each TITAN X) of GPU: +266 MHz and GDDR5: +400MHz

not bad
also I will now focus on multi-GPU injection cause pretty sure it is the problem that I have with NIDIA web driver
also need to see if VoodoTSCSync could solve my problem by injecting 43 in it (44-1)

everything by following the guide of @kgp
nothing more nothing less
;)

concerning results on LUXMARK: okrasit is 1st and he deserves it but on dual Xeon v4 / Mac OS
mine are signed NRHK but mono xeon ;)

next step in few days: X.13 when I will be 100% confident in X.12 ;)

You will see that by removing the -xcpm boot flag, nothing will change. However you should even stay with PMdrvr.kext and EIST, because it dramatically improves the system performance (idle and max CPU frequencies). Only if you want to opt for sleep/wake functionality, PMdrvr.kext must be removed and EIST in consequence disabled.

Just follow my guide!!!

so sad,I must confess you are right, the mothed I tried just lucky, not work twice.
the day after I succeed one time,I logined my sierra 10.12.6,the freeze appear as usual.
then I tried one by one to remover -xcpm boot flag, remove PMdrvr kext and disable EIST,still random freezes.:banghead:

Hi Kgp

I just followed your guide with

- i7-6900k CPU
- 32 gigs Ram G.Skill f4 32000c16D-32GTZ
- Asus Rog Strix X99 Gaming
- Samsung 500GB 850 EVO M2
- GIGABYTE GV-N1080TGAMING OC-11G

Installation was a breeze! I have no need for ethernet, wifi... purely an Audio DAW machine.
Testing Thunderbolt in a few days. But so far the easiest installation I've done with hackintosh and boot is fast!

So thank you! If you have any advice to thunderbolt before I launch into that (need thunderbolt 2 ports) of course appreciated.

But thank you with this! Amazing comprehensive installation!

I had random freeze too

I pulled ou the .kext and also turned off the EIST
for now it looks ok (15 hours of rendering and stable...)

concerning results
only with this change and same configuration of test
i have better score on Open CL and dont know why for the CPU it is the same
so EIST on my 2696v4, it is pointless
will continue to see if random freeze and reboot comes back

PS: the 2696v4 has some short period at 3,4 GHz need to film it cause in theory the 2699v4 has not this turbo mode so high

I refer at the beginning of my 10.12 Desktop Guide to the relevant posts along my thread concerning TB. Please have a look there for any kind of helpful information. I have just an ASUS X99-A II. So no TB to verify, sorry....

Did you checkout whether or not your RAM memory is compatible with your board?

@kgp
do you want some infos from me:
I mean kexts used or others...
for now my rig is totally stable with your guide just needed to not use the PMDrvr and not use EIST
let me know if you want infos to complete your great guide

cheers

PS concerning memory maybe it can help
i inject everything on clover like it
cause as I use 128GB I wanted to be sure to have no problems
