Can I kiss you?:lol::lol: First positive reply since days :headbang:

No ++++ problem with my EFI-folder and BIOS settings :?:

The ++++ problem guys are driving me crazy :lol::lol:

HAHAHAHA...

Cheers, man!

Hope that you will receive help with your BCM4352!
:mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:
Yes, before that just help me with the Wi-fi please. Most of the tutorials are outdated and I get lost in the middle.

Seems you did not catch the update of my last reply above.

in the image you post above it says 10.12.6! Are you sure that you are in the correct thread? This is my 10.13 High Sierra desktop guide thread, not the 10.12 Sierra desktop guide thread.

My bad,I will post in the right thread.

ohhhh noooo! And I was already sooo happy about your positive reply under 10.13! :banghead:

ok, post in the right thread..

Cheers,

I am currently investigating the source for the ++++++ problem. I do not think that this problem roots back to my EFI and BIOS configuration. In my case, the PB3/DP4 installer boots absolutely flawless. I rather think that there must be some user error at some point.

Now the most interesting investigation I am actually carrying out with @ICEVISION. He owns the identical mobo (ASUS X99-A II) and processor (i7-6950X) configuration, with identical BIOS settings and an identical EFI folder, but reports the same ++++++, which is simply impossible. His rig must boot flawless the DP4 installer like mine, but apparently does not because of unknown origin o_O

I asked him to do the test described in post #132 and post post #142. If you want, you can participate in this test investigation with your ASUS X99 Deluxe II and provide your user feedback.

We have to find the knot, why some users are not able to boot the PB3/DP4 installer, although in my case and with my BIOS, hardware and software configuration everything just works flawless.

Cheers,

KGP

#132 - no improvement, tried xHCI enabled with USB3.0, tried smart auto with with USB2.0, both of them halt on ++++++

using your config.plist, verified the Broadwell-E info and bootstrap settings

#142 - no improvement used f8 to select usb thunbdrive on each boot.

The only physical drive I have installed is the NVMe Samsung 950 at the moment. I removed the SSD with working 10.12.6 based off your earlier thread.I also removed the SSD I was going to install 10.13 on.

I recently found that "EmuVariableUefi-64.efi" can result in the following problem with the PB3/DP4 Updater:

Maybe it could also cause the +++++++ problem? Did you try to remove it from /EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI/ ?

Tried removing "EmuVariableUefi-64.efi" no difference. ++++++ is as far as I go.

The Asus X99-DELUXE-II is doing something silly, can't pinpoint it though, also running 1701.

CPU 6900K

OK! Big news! the problem is kind of strange but I slowly going somewhere...
after changing the FakeCPUID to ivy bridge (don't ask me why) installer going through the ++++++ problem but rebooting during boot process later on - this is 99% related to patches compatibility with wrong cpuid because if you disable most of the kernel patches I can reach the h.sierra installer graphic interface no problem with incorrect ivy bridge cpuid!
I have tried Ivy Bridge cpuid 0x0306A0 and no problem with plus signs at all!
The question now is what is wrong with 0x040674 and why I have no problem with 10.12 using this cpu id all the time ????
also tested 0x040670 - same problem

any ideas ?

The funny thing is that I use 0x040674 and all KernelToKext patches and everything works...

What if you disable all xcpm patches and just use CPU Type 0x0a02 and FakeCPUID 0x040674???

And than the other way round, what about enabling all xcpm patches except xcpm_program_msrs and xcpm_core_scope_msrs but leaving CPU Type and FakeCPUID empty? I don't know if in this case you also need Pike's ssdt.aml, but you might be able to use the one generated under 10.12.6. Just try with and without ssdt.aml. My EFI-10.13-TM currently does not contain a ssdt.aml!
Before it did! may that's the problem???

In fact to provide both CPU Type and FakeCPUID and xcpm patches is somehow some overkill! In principle it is sufficient to use either CPU Type and FakeCPUID or the xcpm patches ( and as I say maybe with ssdt.aml).

In my case however also the entire overkill works without ssdt.aml
