What keyboard driver works best with Apple USB keyboard? I'm a little comfused about the keyboard step.
Apple hardware has native support - No additional drivers required.

Hi everybody. I followed the guide and got filevault to work.

Unfortunately when I boot with the created recovery partition my AMD grapichs card wont be recognized and results in a failed boot. Everything works fine when I activate my Intel graphics card.

This is my first "hackintosh" installation so my knowledge of how MacOs work is basically zero, so any help would be much appreciated.

I solved the problem by removing the inject ATI from the clover config, and added "-v" to options.

I had the most miserable time finding UsbKbDxe.efi, but eventually did. FV is working now.

I'm uploading UsbKbDxe.efi for others. Enjoy encryption!

I stupidly activated file vault without doing my research first, and now I'm stuck at the point where I'm at the login screen but can't type anything. Is there any way to get a keyboard working without erasing everything?

Edit: I'm using an Apple USB keyboard.

You can either google how to decrypt from the recovery drivers, decrypt, put in the right drivers and retry... or you can pull the drive, plug it in to another system and copy the drivers, or try to copy the drivers from an install boot disk or EFI partition using terminal in the recovery partition. Opt 1 is probably the easiest if you don't have another machine.

Thanks for the response!

I don't have another machine, so that's out. I'm not sure what you mean "decrypt from the recovery drivers" and google wasn't very helpful - I found a whole bunch of very different things.

I should clarify, when I try to boot into OS X, the loading bar gets about 2/3 of the way and then I get an X. It's when I log into the recovery partition that the keyboard won't work. It looks like I might have to just lose all that data :(

I'm sure my spelling error didn't help. I assume you've done something to remedy this by now, but for anyone else stumbling on this. Here's an article on how to decrypt FileVault from the command line https://derflounder.wordpress.com/2015/12/20/managing-el-capitans-filevault-2-with-fdesetup/ and I suppose in your case you'd have to boot from an install/recovery usb to get to a terminal shell.

This looks like it could work! I actually haven't done anything about it yet, I've been too busy.

I read the instructions in your link and tried to follow them, but when I use the terminal with an install USB, I can't figure out how to access the drive on my computer. The images in the link show the terminal prompt as "computername:~" whereas mine just shows "-bash-3.2#" (both without the quotes), and none of the commands work (unsurprisingly, since how would it know where to look?). When I type in "fdsetup disable" it just returns "fdsetup: command not found"

I've tried searching the forums and google to figure out how to get around this, but since I'm not even sure how to phrase what I need, I haven't been very successful. Do you know, or have any suggestions on where I could look to try to figure this out?

And thank you!

Sorry about that, BreBo. I've updated it now.
