How does it work kgp? Do you feel any performance difference? I will wait until 10.13.1 because I can't risk my workstation, I use for video editing and grading for every day... but I hope this new OP will bring some performance for us! :)

A part from the currently reduced graphics performance caused by lacking 10.13 Nvidia WebDriver, my System shows the same excellent overall performance as already impressively demonstrated in case of MacOS Sierra 10.12.

Let me strongly encourage you to take a test drive for a MacOS High Sierra 10.13 Upgrade/Installation and to follow my respective and recently released guide. It would not harm or influence your current MacOS Sierra 10.12 installation at all! The opposite, it would provide you already know with the necessary knowledge of being prepared for MacOS High Sierra 10.13.1! And it would provide me with the Feedback, collaboration and support from users all around the world, which will be the substantial base for a successful continuation of my work now and in the near future.

Cheers,

KGP

Thanks KGP!

It's good to hear it! I will definitely do a test drive with your guide, if I have time for it! At the moment, I work 7/7 24/24.... so many shoots and edits... but, I keep my eyes open and read this forum for the news, whenever I have a bit rest :)

Cheers,

Attila

The main issue was that I flashed locked latest bios to MB - 3502
Ah, so I got a bit further as well, thanks to Synth1980. Downgrading my bios to 3302 as well I've got my computer booting without cpus=1 or VoodooTSCSync.kext.
After adding the KernelToPatch entries from the guide I still get sysctl machdep.xcpm.mod returning 0.
If I add the bootflag xcpm_bootstrap Sierra © Pike R. Alpha, it won't boot without cpus=1. But when I reach Sierra with cpus=1 xcpm is active and returning 1.

I am using Mac Pro 6.1 system definition. Any suggestions. I have the exact settings from the guide.

Thanks in advance :)

Show results for points 4.), 9a.), 9b.), 9c.), 12.) and 13.). You have Haswell-E. You have to see if you need cpu_set_info and bootstrap. Play around with enabling, disabling each of this two parameters.

Just follow my guide and everything shall be fine ;)

By the way, your Ram memory seems not to be compatible with your mobo. You might subsequently face random reboot problems once you succeeded with the install and configuration.

Sorry the ram i have is EVGA didnt mean to put that and at this point i re tried making the usb and am at the install screen at the moment, ill tell you how it goes from here but ur guide is great so far and it is very long and detailed. It was only my stupidity that led me to those errors.

Thanks man.
Yeah, that's also what I had kinda boiled it down to. Now I tried all different options a couple of times.
When I have bootstrap enable (but only able to boot with cpus=1) I get the correct results in 4) and 9). I didn't try to do the Frequency-Vectos part. When I boot without cpus=1 it hangs somewhere between a PCI Configuration Begin and the OSX screen. But it's kinda different for every boot.
As soon as I disable bootstrap I get a nice fast boot all the way through, but machdep.xcpm.mode returning 0, and obviously 9c.) returning that apple power management is loaded.

Quick question, do you think Audio and USB config could have any impact on this?
I've just used the VodooHDA and the basic USB config.

Thanks again

Absolutely not! No influence by VodooHDA and basic USB config..

Do you use an appropriate FakeCPUID? You can also try without and to boot just with XCPM. Maybe then you do not need cpus=1?
