Wowowow. Thanks so, so much @uar ! Fantastic guide and thanks for listening to my request a while back. I had to do a bit of tinkering and so on but basically used the files you have in the bundle above combined with the files you provided to tyrequeh (post 361 / page 37 if anyone else is looking!) and have my QHD+ 2016 blade running on Sierra. Installed to a USB SSD and boots off that fine. Took me about 3 hours to get my head around how it all works but that was from coming in cold to all of this right through to having it all up and running.

AWESOME!

This thing is literally my dream computer now! Powerful enough to run GPU programs on windows and pleasant to look at and use when I'm just doing casual work online, emailing etc.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you so much for all the time and effort from yourself and others on that thread. Its very much appreciated - more than you know! I'm sure other people feel the same but aren't posting but anyway thank you! I'm a happy bloke. Just have to do a bit of investigation and look in to this track pad business now and see if there's something out there. If anyone finds something working for trackpad / tb3 / keyboard fix in sierra... do tag me in and let me know.

There are essentially no limits on partition count with GPT partitioning.

You can partition your disk in Windows diskmgmt.msc.

Good to know you got it to work. Trackpad installation is provided in the bundle. Keyboard mentioned on top of the guide. Before booting the system attach TB3/USB-C devices to make them work!

By replacing your NVMe, you'll lose your recovery partition from Razer!

You have to use Clover USB to change between each OS or change corresponding bootmgw file to bootmgw-orig in the EFI partition!

The bundle is now updated including my DSDT, SSDTs and backlight injection files.
  • Add SSDT-PNLF in EFI/Clover/ACPI/patched and make sure it's under SortedOrder in config.plist.
  • Copy the KextToPatch values for enabling AppleBacklight from config.plist.
  • Install AppleBacklightInjector.kext in SLE.

You can, but install Windows first then. The recovery partition is meant for erasing the whole disk and installing the activated Windows OS with all the drivers and Razer software etc. If you install macOS first and then use the recovery partition to install Windows, you're doomed. It will erase the whole disk and you will lose your installation of macOS. It's not like a normal Windows installation where you can chose the partition you want it on, it will do what it wants no matter what. The best practice will be to let Windows be installed as the first partition using the recovery one, recovery as the second (for emergency proposes), macOS as the third and macOS recovery as the fourth (don't delete it, it's useful).
