I've pretty much looked everywhere (I think and hope I did) and cannot seem to get this working correctly on this mobo. Everything works great except Sierra is still showing Generic AHCI Controller in the system report.

I tried the fix from here using multibeast:

https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...9-and-9-series-chipset-identification.141640/

Drivers>Disk>Intel Generic AHCI Sata

which places AHCI_Intel_Generic_SATA.kext in /Library/Extensions

The files is in their and I also tried AHCIPortInjector.kext to no avail...

How did everybody fix theirs?

Thanks for help in advance..

Well I found something out people should know about. If I set AHCI Mode from Auto to Enable in the bios its boots up but the USB mouse and keyboards will not work.

How in the world would this cause the mouse and keyboard not to work. As soon as OSX starts loading boom the mouse shuts off. This doesn't make any sense unless the AHCI_Intel_Generic_SATA.kext is wrong...

EDIT: Would SIP have anything to do with this?

Remove AHCI_Intel_Generic_SATA.kext. Not needed. Which board do you have Z87 or Z97?

I NOW have the Z97X-UD3H Yea I figured that the AHCI_Intel_Generic_SATA.kext wasn't working since nothing showed up. But its weird that if I set AHCI Mode to enable in the bios then all the USB Keyboard and Mouse quits working.

SIP should always be disabled i.e 0x67 not 0x3.

To be honest VioletDragon I never had to deal with an SSDT in my years of creating hackintosh's. I've always been lucky up to this point. Can you give me details of exactly what I need to do? More help is appreciated.

EDIT: I do recall editing SSDT for my other mobo but to be honest with all the medications I take I cannot even fricken remember how I use to do everything. Oh well I will research more on this and if I don't get everything working I will just go back to Windows 10 and use my Macbook Pro I have for audio production.

Z/H97 is not native hardware will require patches unlike Series 6/7 & 8. Add change _DSM to XDSM under ACPI, DSDT, Patches. Put SSDT-SATA in EFI/Clover/ACPI/patched. Use acpi_dsdt_patches.plist to copy patch to your existing config. Use Xcode not Clover Configurator.

Okay I will give it a go on my external USB backup drive I test everything out on. Come to think about it I remember using Xcode a few years ago.

Thanks for the heads up.

if you still ned help let me know. I'm running z97x-ud3h and 4770k myself with an 1070
