I am wondering if anyone has made a program for Hackintosh / linux to control the Asus Aura Sync?
Cant find anything in bios other than to turn it off completely?
I have a Asus Z270g motherboard.

Any suggestions or help greatly appreciated.

I'm wondering it too.....I've a GTX1080-011G.... I'd like to set aura RBG color led in Hackintosh....

I was thinking about pursuing this...if I only had time...

Hi guys, do you think it’s possible to use aura software on hackintosh with virtual machine/parallels and Windows ?

There's actually an actively developed project on GitHub for Corsair RGB devices that use the COE software natively. It seems they figured out how to latch onto the interface that controls the lighting. But these are keyboards and mice, so graphics cards may a whole different thing. https://github.com/mattanger/ckb-next
I haven't found any really helpful software for macOS for RGB control. It just seems like there's generally little interest in it and anything for macOS will have to be developed by the community. The Aurora project does quite a good job unifying lighting systems for Windows but there doesn't seem to be any macOS support. https://github.com/antonpup/Aurora (And there probably never will be)

And here I am wishing they would throw us a bone about this. I hate having to install windows on my SSD just to be able to control RGB lighting. It works and retains settings but so many issues are caused by being required to install windows on the same SSD for it to work

Actually, on my ASUS PRIME Z370-A, I can turn the "onboard" LEDs (it's like a little RGB LED strip underneath the right edge of the board) on via the BIOS. Of course I can't change e.g. the GPU LED color, so such a utility would be great to see! If someone wants to start it off, I might even be able to contribute to the development.
A little issue regarding the aforementioned LEDs: In the BIOS, you can set them to "always on", "only on when PC is on" or "always off". Unfortunately, after waking macOS from sleep, they don't turn back on. Has anyone had this issue before? Maybe a BIOS update fixes it?

There should be 2 options for you in BIOS. When the computer is on -> on/off and then when computer is sleep/hibernate -> on/off. I personally have it set to the first option on and the second option off. I want the LEDs on when my computer is on and running otherwise I want them off. I personally never put my computer to sleep so I can't say why they don't turn back on. Did you install Windows to configure the lights?
