[Guide] ASUS Zenbook UX310UA (& UX310UQK) macOS Mojave / Catalina with Clover (& Big Sur / Monterey using OpenCore EFI) Installation Guide

Looks like a great guide, clear and easy to follow :)

Just a few notes:
On step 3 - I guess the file name is wrong?

On step 9 - If you are putting your OEM SSDT's in ACPI/patched you should have DropOem=true in your config.plist.
Better to use the Brightness Fix patch in your DSDT instead, so you don't have your SSDT's there...

And I guess you have 10.12.3 or less?
The current brightness guide for 10.12.4+ doesn't require the brightness fix patch (must be removed if already used), but requires another SSDT (to be put in ACPI/patched) and some patches in config.plist:

Thanks! Yeah, the filename was wrong. Fixed now.

I will try that, although power management now is working great.

Nope, I have 10.12.5. That guide complicate things in this case, because you need to create an SSDT, use some patches in config.plist and install a kext. In this laptop I only need to apply the ASUS Fn brightness keys patch + the brightness fix and that's all. No kext and no special SSDT and it works perfect.

How about illuminated keyboard?
I own A UX410, it's basically the same laptop, only a bigger screen. I created my own topic for it. Everything works but keyboard lighting.

Correct brightness implementation:

Anything less than that will result in incomplete/buggy brightness implementation (you just haven't tested to find the bugs...)

Thanks! I have tried it, and it works great, even better than before because I have more "grades" now. I will update tihs guide to include this.

This model, UX310 has no illuminated keyboard, so I didn't need to apply any patch. However, you can try downloading "Asus DSDT patches.zip" from the first post and try the "KeyboardBacklight Patch (Haswell:Ivy).txt" and "Keyboard Backlight Sleep Fix.txt" on your DSDT.

I am stuck in step 9, I can't find "Sources" and the + button

Okay, thank you! Now, I can't find AsusNBFnKeys.kext in the ASUS DSDT patches folder...

The problem should be the patch added to Clover, that maybe is disabled, or something about aDummyHDA.kext not properly installed into S/L/E, but hey, if it works fine with Voodoo, then great! I am glad that you have your system working. Enjoy!

Oh, and about your model, is the exact same as mine, Conexant CX8050. I copied the path from another guide, thanks for pointing that. The proper path is the one you mentioned, so I have updated the guide to reflect that

Thank you for your guide and thank you for all those who have helped me!!

I have everything working but the audio.
I have 'fixed' it installing Voodoo hda but I haven't got HDMI sound. My laptop is ux310ua-GL151T with core i5 6200u and intel hd520.

Any help?

Also, I will stay here trying to learn. THANKS!!
