Hello

I have had a working hackintosh on sierra for over 6 months and was really pleased with it. Everything was fine and working until I had to connect through ethernet instead of wifi.
It worked a charm for a few hours then complete shutoff, had to try with wifi again and computer would shut down if I removed the ethernet cable. A simple reboot would make it everything right again so no worries. I looked around and found different kexts that would help me as AppleIntelE1000e.kext, AppleIGB and IntelMausi. I tried installing them in L/E and S/L/E but nothing worked better, some completely removed ethernet and other changed nothing, still disconnect after few hours.

Then 2 days ago, usual restart after ethernet loss and I get this kernel panic:
M7d7D1R.jpg

I have tried everything to remove AppleIGB from my computer ( that's causing it if I understand the message correctly) to see if I could boot:
  • Searched in L/E and S/L/E using live usb
  • Searched in EFI kext folders
  • Even tried unix command: find / -name *.kext to list all kexts and could not find it.
  • I could add one of the others kext but am scared that it would not solve anything.
I don't know what to do anymore I would love to be able to boot again and having a working ethernet would be amazing.

Thanks

I'm seeing something similar. Were you able to resolve this? If so, how?

Thanks!

Boot in safe mode and remove the AppleIGB kext.
If you can't figure out where you installed it then start again and don't install it next time.
