From what I can find the iMac Pro will use Skylake-X CPUs and X299 chipset. This is based on Gigabyte has already announced a X299 board that has ECC RAM support, the GA-C422-WS.

mmm my next board perhaps

iMac Pro is Xeon not those.
Actually, the Skylake-X processors are Xeons.

I am happy that apple is updating to Kaby-Lake cpus - hopefully that will mean that we will be able to update to the newest cpus and chipsets at some point.

For those of us that currently have a Kaby lake CPU and spoof the Skylake CPUID, I wonder how the upgrade process will go? If we just remove the fakeCPUID from clover before the upgrade will it just work? I really don't want to completely reinstall...

So, since the system itself is not going to change a whole lot, you guys think we'll be able to use the new radeon kexts on the current sierra versions just to get the otb support? (For the RX480 without a "boot" gpu). I don't have any onboard graphics, for me would be a big deal until the full release of High Sierra.
