So i mostly got my hackintosh running with an X5650 running at 3.2 GHz and a GTX 780ti on a GA-X58A-UD3R boar running 10.12.4, one of the reason i built this machine was for acasional gaming in osx: minecraft, tomb raider, ect but for some reason minecraft isn't fully utilizing my gpu, its only clocking up to 987 MHz and the fps only dose 150 with low settings, is their a setting to get the gpu to get fully utilized? in tomb raider the gpu is fully used though, any help would be appreciated.

the full 3 gb 3071mb the card fully works and all games launch and play decent but not at their full potential, could the CPU be a bottleneck?

Does Minecraft not require 64 Bit Java to run properly. Is it running on all cores of the CPU or just one? The Minecraft forums would be the best place to ask about this further.
Tomb Raider is heavily optimized for the AMD cards but should still run fine with a GTX 780Ti but older XEON processors are likely to not be well optimized for modern gaming titles.

Cinebench will give the GPU a test and Unigine Heaven will test the GPU. Only download these items from source sites rather than third party downloads.

i actualy think i figured out why my performance is so behind, i managed to overclock my x5650 from 2.6 to 3.2 and now to 3.8, with each overclock bump my fps got better and better, the cpu is still a bottle neck but at 3.8 its used more.
