i7 6700K - Z170-A Overclock results

What is the maximum temperature you'll want to reach after several minutes of full load with the 6700K? To avoid long term damage. Currently on 75C

Could you explain the configuration you have in the BIOS and then the ssdt that you have? I have the same board and the same processor but I do not enter the core panic when I try to put it, in benchmark 4 I have in core sige 4990 and in multi core 14871, well below your score and you can not be passing, I would appreciate you little help, thank you

I also put a 6700k SSDT somewhere (not in front of my build)in the EFI partition. Search on tm86 and you will find.

Did you create your own SSDT for the power management of overclocked CPU? I can't get it working. Could I ask you for some input to the post #296? Would you share your SSDT?

I used one from this site. I think it was somewhere in the skylake build thread? Should be easy to find.

Actually I've been trying to find it yesteday but I see only the one for non-oc CPU. Could you maybe mount your EFI and attach it here for me? How much did you overclock? Mine's running on 4.8 GHz now.

Well and it seems that you use wrong ssdt It's only for non-overclocked CPUs, for overclocked one has to prepare custom ssdt.

I think you don't read the text properly. Your hack will work OK WITHOUT SSDT, but will not reach top speed etc.
WITH SSDT, you will.
I hit 22k in Geekbench/reach 4.7 GHz easily. Max temp 75 Celsius(after hours of video encoding), about 30 C at 25 room temp with light load.

Of course I did read, the reason why I would like to install ssdt are my fans that work really weird. Before the overclocking and with ssdt everything was fine and CPU could reach 800 MHz, now usually runs 1-1.3 GHz at idle and fans don't work stable.
