macOS 10.12.5 Update

Status
Not open for further replies.
When I launch in verbose mode, I obtain "busy timeout[0], (240s), kextd wait(0): 'AppleACPICPU'".
Any idea ?

EDIT: After waiting a long moment, I got now a grey screen with a loading cursor... But nothing other.

Upgraded to 10.12.5 using the combo.
TRIM and audio working as usual.

As mentioned above I kept Clover at 4049. I will be skipping the 4061 update since is hanging during boot on my system.

Looks like the majority of the update issues are from Clover 4061. Updates should not be this difficult.

Clover 4061 UEFI @ 6700K / AMD R9 380X / Samsung 950 NVMe PRO 256 GB with RehabMans patch on macOS 10.12.4. No display attached to HD530.

Downloaded IntelGraphicsFixup.kext. Put it in Clover/Kexts. Lilu installed to L/E.

Updated through App Store. Everything went smoothly. Works with both Inject Intel= False & True. I use True on a regular basis.

Restoring to 10.12.3 from Time machine in recovery mode for me...
I hope that work fine after...

EDIT : Restoration wes successfully restore my computer :)
I suppose I must update Clover before updating Mac OS the next time...

Had issues with the nvidia web drivers (1050ti). Frozen by longer inactivity.

Yes, I am seeing this since updating to 10.12.5, also. This is on an H170 system with ELSA GTX 1050 ti. Clover r4061. In my case, it is a reboot, not a freeze, unless I use the Clover option to not reboot on panic. But there is no panic text written out to the screen, like normal. Presumably because graphics-related panic?

Did you use NvidiaGraphicsFixup? I have that installed, because I use iMac17,1 definition. I'm trying to determine if the freeze / KP or whatever might be related to that. I also have the option to use AGPDFix, so I might try that or I might go back to 10.12.4 - I don't know.

Do the upgrade from 10.12.4 to 10.12.5.

Got stuck if I did not apply the patches for HD530. Got the panic after applying the patches.

I have also try to clean install 10.12 to a new HD and apply the patches and do the upgrade to 10.12.5, it works without any issues.

For some reason when I install a newer version of Clover it deletes drivers64UEFI/HFSPlus.efi. Without this file I get the boot halt screen. I just copy this file back manually and then it will boot again fine.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Stucked at bootup screen after updating please help

If you're wondering what to do if you forget to install the Lilu/IntelGraphicsFixup prior to the update, just boot with an invalid ig-platform-id (0x12345678), install the kexts, then reboot.
How do you just boot with that? Where do I find the ig-platform-id? In the config? How do I modify it if the system can't boot?

No Luck here

Installing worked, could boot and was presented with the NVidia Webdriver upgrade message, upgraded and rebooted .... then stuck at a black screen.

Used mit Macbook Pro to connect using Screen Sharing (glad i enabled it!) and tried to reapply the AGDPFix, no luck ...
Updated AGDPFix to 1.3 .... no luck because SIP was enabled
Booting into Recovery Partition did not work, spinning wheel of death at approx. 80% Apple Logo boot process ...
Disabling SIP using Clover worked, but AGDPFix still not fixing the problem (says patch already applied, but even after reapplying it did not work)

I removed the two kexts mentioned in this thread (Lilu.kext, IntelGraphicsFixup.kext) as ist was suggested here, but did not try to use it in combination with AGDPFix 1.3

For the time being, i reverted to my 10.12.4 CCC backup
maybe there are fixes in the future and i try again.

My Setup:
GA-Z170X-Designare | i7 6700K | GTX 750 Ti OC with 3 Screens and Apollo 8 Duo and UAD-2 Thunderbolt on Apple Thunderbolt-USB-C Adapters and i'm using the iMac 7,1 System Definition
