Graphics
nVidia GTX 970

so im using a dual monitor setup

main one connects with hdmi second with dvi and it all works perfectly on windows

however on osx it refuses to boot on DVI (alone or with hdmi alongside it) as it instantly reboots the PC after the loading bar is finished unless i use nv_disable=1

i removed dvi monitor and booted with HDMI one and everything worked perfectly

any idea what seems to be the issue ? and is it even possible to use DVI on a hackintosh (or even mac os generally) ?

specs are :

i5 6600k

gtx 970

16gb ram

gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 5 motherboard

im using the latest os x sierra installer from the app store with the latest nvidia web drivers

installed using unibeast and then used multibeast for post

Is it digital DVI or does it convert to VGA? Analog connections are poorly supported in macOS, so that would explain it.
No it's a DVI to VGA adapter
Is VGA the problem here ? because I've sifted through a few threads from Adrian's post and found a thread with a similar issue that suggested using a displayport to VGA adapter

The DisplayPort to VGA adapter is an active adapter so the OS sees the VGA display as a DisplayPort connection.

Yes, passive DVI to VGA is a problem.
