*(Driver Help Please)* Asus ROG maximus VIII Impact, i5 6500 3.2ghz, i5 6600k 3.5Ghz

Hiya techie folks,

I wonder if anyone could please help with some driver issues I currently have :crazy:.

I am looking for Sound, LAN, Wireless and possible Video drivers for Mac OS Sierra.

My specs are below:

Asus ROG Maximus VIII Impact motherboard
Intel core i5 6600k 3.5Ghz CPU
Seagate 2TB Hard Drive
Corsair Vengeance 16Gb kit
Using onboard intel 530 onboard Graphics

I have tried the drivers below but with no success :thumbdown:

Realtek ALC1150 for sound
IntelMausiEthernet for Lan
I haven't tried any video drivers as I am not sure if they are right however it flickers just before I login :!:

I am also using system definition iMac 14,2 is this right?

If anyone know's the correct drivers for my spec's or anything I need to include from MultiBeast for mac OS Sierra I would greatly appreciate it very much.

if memory serves me correctly the Asus v series motherboards sound and wifi are not supported.
I use a usb head set which has 7.1 audio jack adapters.(usb -- audio jack's)
you can get a logitech one cheep or a PCIE audio card which can be found in Tony's supported hardware or golden builds section.
the lan drivers should be the standard ones when installing. if you need help I can upload my kext.

if possible please upload boot.log playlist in clover configurator.

Thanks for replying dbNine :),

There are a few people on here with the same board that have manage to get everything working apart from the wireless which is fine for me. But no-one has said how or what they used. I did reply to there feed but nothing back so maybe they don't use this site anymore :(.

I have been following Stork's guide but does not seem to work on my board :banghead:.
I am new to all this Hackintosh so learning every step of the way.

ok, watch this on youtube and past your boot.log How to use Clover Configurator (Hackintosh Tutorial)
make sure you are using the correct config.plist that you boot from or // your clover is booting from
also please use multibeast and take a image of your build compiler.

:) I know it is frustrating but with the help of the moderators and users it is a breaze

what OS X version you running OS X El Capitan?

The correct configuration file is located on your EFI partition in /EFI/Clover/config.plist

Again sorry for the late reply I have been at drama class and on a shoot this week.

No I am using OS Sierra and my spec's are below:

Asus ROG Maximus VIII Impact motherboard
Intel core i5 6600k 3.5Ghz CPU
Seagate 2TB Hard Drive
Corsair Vengeance 16Gb kit
Using onboard intel 530 onboard Graphics

Ok a small update before I send you the boot log and config file.
The LAN seems to be working now and the bluetooth is working :)

The sound & wireless is still not working and not sure about the display as it flickers on logon :crazy:

Also it is very slow booting is this because it is looking for hardware??

ok so I got hold of a Asus ROG Maximus VIII Impact motherboard and tried to install Sierra 10.12.4 but I got a lot of error messages.
I did the fix for bios,
Extreme Tweeker tab
  • AI Overclocker Tuner > X.M.P.
  • Extreme Tweeking > Enable
Advanced Items tab
  • System Agent (SA) Configuration > VT-d > Disable
  • PCH Configuration > IOAPIC 24-119 > Disabled
  • USB Configuration > Legacy USB Support > Auto
  • USB Configuration > XHCI Hand Off > Enabled
  • APM Configuration > Power on by PCI - E/PCI > Disabled
Boot Menu tab
  • Fast Boot > Disabled
  • Boot Logo Display > Disabled
  • Secure Boot > OS Type > Other OS
  • Boot Option 1 > USB installer thumb drive (the UEFI choice if there are two entries)
Exit > Save Changes

which chedda7 supplied and made sure my boot flag's where all correct, it installed and it loaded up.
however
the wireless is not working
0 sound as all the driver's don't work????
onboard graphics is sluggish
and anything less then 8 gigs memory is very laggy
as well the usb3 doesn't work. <- probably a fix for that
and I used a i7 cpu which worked quite nicely

so it is possible to get OS X Sierra working but the system seams unstable.

Thank you dbNine for trying to get the board working with Sierra.

I know Pkerry12 has everything working apart from wireless. But no reply from that user.

I think I will have to wait a little longer until someone has some success with this model of board :crazy:.

I have the same sort of issues as yourself.

Network working fine
Bluetooth working fine
No sound
No wireless
Onboard Graphics not sure as it flickers on login
Bootup slow but think it's because it is looking for something.

Maybe someone in time will look at my boot.log and config.plist and see where the problem is.

Hi I manage to make all the stuff work except wifi.

Hardware:

GTX980 asus rog
Maximus VIII impact
i5 6500k
12GB RAM GSKILL
240 SSD (corsair)

so steps:

a) install osx normally with the bios default except:
VT-D to off and CFG disabled, usb 3.0 to XHCI and no fast boot.​
b) install multibeast with uefi and the network drivers (all) just in case :) And ALC 1150 for sound. It will not work for the moment (the sound). Add the web drivers of nvidia also.

c) install nvidia web drivers, (I have a gtx 980) asus rog. Same as mobo.

d) install clover and set and option for graphic card to work. It was to enable simulation of NVRAM.
EmuVariableUefi-64​
e) restart. Verify graphics are with nvidia, verify booting works normal and network works.

f) only audio is pending to get installed. So we will enable all audio cards: mother board + hdmi.

So open:
1) 09168-EFI-Mounter-v3.zip (Efi Mounter) this is to mount efi partition
2) verify EFI partition is open on the FINDER
3) follow the tutorial on the file: ssdt_hdef-1-100-hdas.zip (I think this is a patch for the kernel)
4) reboot
5) follow the script: audio_cloverHDMI-120.command.zip

I don't have that much explanations but all is working with this. I found the files on this forum or in internet. I'm sure you can manage to find them with the name.

I attached all the files to the post and the screen shot to prove all it's working.
