Issue:
MultiBeast Audio does not work upon first reboot?

Solution:
Re-run Audio portion of MultiBeast after rebooting from system drive.

Explanation:
Apple has changed the behavior for kextcache in Sierra. You need to install Audio after you are booted from the destination disk. Otherwise the kext cache is not properly updated.

Apple’s documentation suggests:
Caution: Incorrect use of kextcache can render a volume incapable of startup. Installers and administrators should not use this program to update system kext caches. Instead they should run touch(1) on the /System/Library/Extensions/ directory of the installation target volume after they have finished, which invalidates the existing caches and causes the system to update all necessary kext caches.

Hello,

Do you mean re-installing the audio drivers then restart? TIA

I added the EVGA NVidia 1070 graphics card which necessitated upgrading to MacOS 10.12.4. I did a new install from UniBeast and the Audio does not work. I have the Asus Z170-A Motherboard with Realtek ALC892 Audio. I tried the audio from HDMI and Display Port cables also. This is not working. I have attached a screenshot of the kexts being inserted by MultiBeast. Please advise how to get the audio working again. Thank you.

Before You Install Audio/MultiBeast/Post #2
Off topic.

Audio doesn't appeart to be working on recent Sierra (10.12.5) install. Do I need to go through the entire process linked in Post #2 abover or can I simply rerun the audio portion of MultiBeast (i.e. reinstall the ALC drivers?

Appreciate your advice Toleda!

A silly question, if I run multibeast on my Sierra installation, do I have to select ALL of the options or just audio?
