Which audio codec does the laptop have?
Attach audio codec dump from Linux.
I was having the same issues in Ubuntu (no sound, but mic working) but I was able to fix it by disabling the fast boot/hybrid shutdown option in Windows 10. Unfortunately, the same wasn't true for El Capitan. My audio codec is Realtek ALC298 (I tried using the ALC298 SP4 as the codec for AppleHDA patcher). Codec dump is attached.

Btw, thanks for all the great guides RehabMan. They have been super helpful.

Hey @uar , what audio codec does your Late 2016 blade have. I've been trying to get audio working on my Early 2017 blade by patching AppleHDA.kext but haven't had any luck. Can get the microphone working and internal speakers shows up in the system preferences, but still no sound.
I've been suffering with that too. AppleHDA will only work with headphones and it will break them too. Use VoodooHDA for internal speakers and it's time to take the courage and move over to Bluetooth headphones, if you really want the usage of headphones.

ALC298. It's the same as the XPS 15, and it's known to cause problems.

Note that there are two different custom SSDTs for ALC298 in the CodecCommander repo...

I've been having a weird issue with patching AppleHDA.kext. Regardless of what method I use to patch it, I lose the ability to playback youtube videos whenever the the internal speakers are able to be identified. Without a patched AppleHDA, youtube plays fine, but the speakers don't show up.

EDIT:
Trying VoodooHDA, youtube playback works, internal speakers are recognized, but only produce very faint static when a video is playing.

Hi all. Been checking in on this thread every so often to see the progress you're making. Good work!

@uar @freejack @hobyho : would any of you perhaps have the time to write a comprehensive guide to get the razer blade 2016 / 1060 up and running with half decent functionality (as you seem to have) and maybe share your files? I'm pretty sure there are a bunch of folk out there who are in the same boat as me and would REALLY grateful if you had any time to do one. Many thanks in any case.
