Hi both. First thing to do is check the TP-Link web-site for Mac drivers. They are clearly listed for both Version 1 and Version 2 variants. (Check the box or small-print on your adapter to see which it is.)

For my own TP-Link adapter the drivers work fine for Sierra. They work separately from the macOS wireless system and you get a second TP-Link wi-fi icon in the menu bar.

:)

Hello guys, can someone confirm me that the TL-WN823N is working on Sierra? I want to buy this one, but the drivers on internet are not telling it's compatible with Sierra. If it's compatible should I use Kexts or official drivers? (I'm sorry I'm new). Thank you very much guys.

Hi, does it work? I want to buy too, it is cheap in Japan

Are there still only two m.2 wifi cards that work with Sierra? (The current rip-off prices (~50USD on North American eBay) of these cards on eBay would suggest there are still not very many.)

Fortunately, I had this nice, TINY, $12 RTL8188CUS wifi from Adafruit laying around in a Raspberry Pi. Still testing, but it appears to work just fine in Sierra 12.5 using the "plugable" driver above.

An update will probably kill this driver; I have a whole collection of worthless Maxpower USBs sticks from the big cat era whose wonky 3rd party drivers stopped working around the time of Yosemite.

Anyone test this with 10.12.5?
