Solving NVIDIA Driver Install & Loading Problems

You're a genius ! Any idea why this fixes it though ? Thanks !!

Not really sure to be honest. For some monitors is seems to be an issue but I am not sure how to fix it and haven't seen a solution. For my Dell monitor DP1.2 has always worked fine.

Pascal Support is HERE!
Please let me know of any other errors you are encountering and I will update this post with solutions.
Thank you for the guide, i have gone trough the most the fix options, but i am still where i was at the beginning, without updating clover (from 3377 to 4061), without editing the kexts, nor the plist...

So i get the card recognized even without any updates (except to 10.12.4 + nVidia driver). see attached the screenshot. Only issue is (no errors btw) that my screen does go blank, no signal is going out on DVI :( the screenshot below is taken connecting remotely to my machine. Is there a way to know or to redirect video output? i don't know if this is the right question at all... :( Pascal-not-working.png

Hi,

I installed a GTX 1060 6GB. I found the matching drivers (346.02.03f12) to my Yosemite 10.10.5 Installation and installed them succesfully (Nvidia Driver Manager says Up to Date). But when I restart the whole OS is very jittery and slow and in the system profiler my new card doesn't show up. GraphicEnabler is set to NO. I also tried with the bootflag. Please Help.

GTX 10*0 (Pascal) graphics are currently only supported in Sierra.

Thanks alot, somehow I managed to ignore this information. So I will try to update and hope that my systems stays stable.

I think with that definition you need to check this:

Specifically macOS Sierra 10.12.4. Lower versions of Sierra do not support Pascal cards.

I just got a 1050 Ti and got it working with hack #6 to enable NVRAM. On default OS X graphics, my Thunderbolt 2 audio device (UAD Apollo Twin) was working, but on NVIDIA it's not. At boot time, the white bar stops at about 80% for between 5 and 10 mins and sometimes eventually loads MacOS and sometimes doesn't. When it does, the screen resolution switches to a higher resolution, so it looks like it's switching from default graphics at 1024 x 768 to NVIDIA, but the background of the login screen is all garbled colours.

Once I get to the desktop I get full resolution at 2460 x 1600 over DVI, but no Thunderbolt audio.

This is the closest I've ever got after many reinstalls and eventually having to buy a new video card. I built this PC as a digital audio workstation so the Thunderbolt audio is vital. The audio device connected pretty much every time until I put the new video card in, so I feel like there's a connection. It's a Gigabyte Z170 Designare board with onboard Thunderbolt 2 over USB-C.

Any ideas?

Hey guys, finally successful here. Have a 7700k on a Gigabyte z270 itx with a Zotac 1080 mini. Thought I'd leave this tidbit from my go around: I had the sleep on boot problem consistently with the recommended settings and the issue was that I had Inject Nvidia set to true. At least for me, that's what was causing the issue. Once I turned it off it was smooth sailing.

Good lord this thing smokes!!
