I'm using clover with iMac14.2 definition. I have the new pascal drivers installed on my hackintosh and I have a GTX 1080. Everything seems to work fine if I boot up using my DVI cable, but if I boot using HDMI, I get no activity to the display (the system boots - I just can't see it).

That being said, if I boot into windows using DVI, then switch to the HDMI port, it works! So I know it's not a problem with the monitor or the cable.

Any ideas? I appreciate any help i can get.

If your HDMI is connected to 4K TV, then it will give blank display unless you set resolution to 4K @ 30 Hz.
HDMI 2.0 is not supported in macOS yet.

Thanks. My graphics card is actually connected 1920x1080 monitor, so i think it must be something else.

One extra bit of info: if I boot using DVI on my GTX 1080, I don't see the BIOS splash screen or the clover boot screen - but eventually it just starts up Sierra.

However if I boot using the DVI port on my old GTX 580 (also installed) I see all the various boot screens (mobo, clover, etc..) and options. My thinking is that I need to somehow make the 1080 my primary GFX card instead of my old 580. Any thoughts?

Update: Ok, I'm kind of a dummy. I still had Inject Nvidia set to True. So I've made that false and now HDMI from my GTX 1080 does work.

However, I still can't see my BIOS splash and clover boot screens unless I'm using the DVI port on my old 580.

Have you installed both the two card? If so, set initial GFX to the right PCIe slot in BIOS. If that does not work, put GTX 1080 in the first PCIe slot and set it as initial GFX.

Thanks fffwh. Yeah, I tried switching initial GFX, but it doesn't seem to work. I was hoping to avoid having to switch PCIe slots, but it seems like the only option left. Thanks again!

Hi harryapeman, I have a similar problem on my hackintosh that the HDMI port doesn't output any signal after the MacOS boot screen. What do you mean by "I still had Inject Nvidia set to True. So I've made that false and now HDMI from my GTX 1080 does work." ? Can you share with a bit more context regarding the configuration?

Thanks a lot
